Solaria Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 The constant back and forth, both sides having people being unable to acknowledge the other side’s success and or talent, the diminishing of artists their appeal, the snobbery and arrogance… this has got to be the most boring stan war ever. I’m Olivia Popeing this thing. Get me representatives from both the Swifties and the Beyhive and we’ll sign a peace treaty 2 4
SwiftLover Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Yes. Someone so “boring & basic” should not be THIS triggering 9 5
réveuse Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Yes, 100%. Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are both talented and amazing artists, they both respect eachother, and are totally different artistically. Beyhives and Swifties are so toxic and annoying. 7

OT: Everything related hive is boring tbh. Their fave literally just had the biggest female tour of all times yet the same day they made the thread about how much is Taylor Swift tour boosting the economy. Very insecure I would say. Popular Post PoisonedIvy Posted September 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 4, 2023 Honestly yes, they couldn’t be FURTHER apart in terms of the lanes they occupy culturally, musically, and visually. They do ENTIRELY different things and there is no point in the incessant conflict between some members of both fanbases. It’s like if fans of Broadway productions were constantly beefing with heavy metal fans about which genre of music is better when it’s very clear that they are in two separate realms that will never overlap 20 1
FolkLover1989 Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 There was no bad blood , the tour started it all Eras Tour is factually the biggest event of this decade and dare I say this century , so Hives started dragging it for being basic and white then offcourse Swifties started pulling the receipts as well and it has been same since then And it won't end till 2025 atp 9
Johnny Jacobs Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Yes Mostly because it's the stans fighting while their faves aren't even in on it

There is no overlap between Beyonce's world in music and Taylor's, zero. 1
Popular Post Axelios Posted September 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 4, 2023 It's very one sided. Most Taylor fans have other stuff to care about. 20
Digitalism Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 And it kinda doesn't make sense since taylor is known for the huge success and bey for being perfect in everything. Not comparable
Safe&Sound Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 If it's not Bey stans who keep feeling insecure of Taylor's success, this stan war wouldn't exist Let me get this straight Taylor is on top of the game, her tour is celebration of her entire discography, so of course she will surmount Beyonce's tour number from the Spotify number data, Taylor eclipsed her too. Sis collected 100mil+ streams daily Idc what anyone said in Twitter on this forum, I always see Taylor's fair competitors are Drake and The Weeknd The comparison with Beyonce doesnt make sense at all If there's someone Beyonce fans want to pick up the fight with, Renaissance and Chromatica's numbers are not really far 11 1
Kimbra Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Both sides have points. Like the beyhive pointing out that as a black woman she has to work twice as hard for half of of what white women get and the Swifties have a point in how the stan world disregards Taylor's artistry due to it not being "fierce" , "edgy" and "impctful" 13 1

Finkypop Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Yes it's mostly the Hive getting clocked and then screaming "mayo!!!1!1!!" and "white mediocrity!". Hang it up flatscreen 15 1 7
Kimbra Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Also I would like to point out when Swifties try to shut down the misogyny they throw at black female artists by saying "women should support women" What they really mean is that women should support Taylor. 6 7 3
Obsession Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) It's insane, because they're not even peers. And each side swears the other one is the instigator but both sides are being ******* annoying. Edited September 4, 2023 by Obsession 1

Just a Gay on ATRL Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 They’re too different to compare in nearly all artistic capacities so all arguments feel kind of like you’re comparing apples vs oranges, both sides are wasting their time 1
mxoonlight Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Yes, and I'm going to be so honest (and IDC if anyone disagrees!!! Because y'all know it's true!!!), it gives race war always. Bey and Taylor both have such broad appeal within their specific demographics that whenever someone leads with "WELL I DON'T JUST GET IT..." it always rings like there's an element of distrust or dislike that I feel stems from the detachment from the specific culture they represent and the audience that attracts rather than anything to do with themselves as artists or celebrities. 4
vale9001 Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) Beyoncè never had a peak era like of the ones of britney, whitney, prince, queen, adele, gaga or taylor. What should be her baby one more time, purple rain, the fame monster, 21, the bodyguard, 1989. More impact in culture in the last decade than with music. So the fact they try to show she's the most relevant popstar in the current state of music (when she peaked as gp star the year obama was elected) is just giving non sense. "Even" Dua lipa last 10 years are bigger than Beyoncè. They should just accept Beyoncè strongness is her longevity and talent as performer but she has never touched the MUSICAL penetration in culture beatles, taylor, madonna, MJ. whitney, elvis had You can't be mad when people talks about current Taylormania comparing to Beatles or MJ talking about THE SUCCESS OF MUSIC...beyoncè never touched something like this WITH MUSIC, even in 2003 or 2008. Just accept it and move on Edited September 4, 2023 by vale9001 11 14
Rotunda Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) I think y’all are over-exaggerating the extent of this stan war ngl . It’s just the same 10 or so annoying users not being self-aware that they’re annoying (hi @vale9001). Edited September 4, 2023 by Rotunda 11
vale9001 Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) and everyone can see and knowS the eras tour is clearly the biggest live social cultural event at least post pandemic and this reinassance tour it's not even the most talked tour Beyonce has ever made Edited September 4, 2023 by vale9001 4
