I need her to go on some radio shows (with good interviewers) and actually talk about the process of making this album, I think it would do wonders for its current perception from the turned off audience

AH is SO SEXY, I love songs like that that just ooze sensuality without having to be overly explicit and she has mastered that vibe

i can’t believe the album kinda flopping a bit :skull:

I can’t believe this is flopping like this :noparty: everything was going the RIGHT way :dancehall3:

not really.

The replay value of most the songs are low or just lower than PTTR IMHO.

Folks prob expected more rap songs like aint ****, or rules which were still catchy

The GP that did tune in prob did one listen through then moved on.

As I mentioned months ago, I knew it would be a step up artistically, but step back commercially to go boom bap.

Boom bap is just viewed as boring and antiquated now…outside of someone like Kendrick.  It’s just not popular, not even within Rap world.

Agree.  Rules, Ain’t ****, Cyber Sex, ***** Talk are great examples of where she could’ve made bops, while still being Rap.  But I guess she also wanted to be taken more seriously.

Hell, I even suggested she lean into Electronic more (a la BWET)….still being eclectic while leaning into rapping more.

Album is still good…but I see your POV + it’s definitely a possibility.

Yeah i thought that too.. i get why she wanted to make a more rap oriented project, and i like the direction of the album, but i feel like before doing this kind of rap (which is a big commercial risk esp for a female rapper) she needed to make an album with rap BOPS like rules, tia tamera, ain't **** etc. I feel like she wasn't solidified enough yet to make a shift like that in her image and music. Hopefully 2-3 songs go viral and save this era :rip:

Album tracks are also starting to pop up in the Rap chart. But can we combine the versions already please @RCA :deadbanana2:

While 60k is definitely a bit lower than expected im surprised people are shocked at these numbers? Both Balut and Demons posted pretty mid numbers so this is performing on par with them. PTTR smashing is clearly not really related to the interest in the album. In the end she released her best album and is making big strides with her musical identity :michael: I expect the album to be pretty stable in the long run so I don’t think it’s some huge crisis

These are my favorites on first listen:

  1. 97
  2. Can’t Wait
  3. Agora Hills
  4. Shutcho
  5. Skulls & Bones
  6. F*ck The Girls
  7. Attention
  8. PTTR

I will be legitimately shocked if all of PF2 combined surpasses PTTR alone

The Barbz alone will make sure she clears 100k. Her 13 year old mixtape opened 85k. Sometimes treating your fans good pays off.

the era doesn’t need a “saving” at all :deadbanana2: she got her smash with PTTR already

she could’ve released an album full of pop-rap hits for the numbers but instead she chose to ‪change her image drastically and release the music that she wants, and us fans enjoy it :michael:

just like other users mentioned it previously, the numbers are OK considering the debut numbers ‪of the singles, neither a bomb or a smash :swing:

QFE.

I hasn't been popular in the rap world since like 2014/2015 tbh.

Making an entire album for a group of people that constantly called her a singer and not a rapper really did nothing for her in the end.

Never cater to haters, no matter how many times you want to prove them wrong.

100% on the the electronic though, she did it well with Game on Amala and Boss ***** for B.O.P.  Shame it seems she'll never circle back to it. We'll see.
