The tragic vocals in question were those of Taylor on TIWYCF which made Calvin fly out and fetch Rihanna instead. It doesn’t get more embarrassing than that :sosad:

Except the whole hook of that song is still Taylor and Rihanna lipsyncs to it :sistrens:

I know we didn't go 3 pages letting the OP get away with this. :skull:

I’m sorry you’re deaf. Rihanna sings most of it during the start of the song.

Meeeeh. Taylor isn't known as a great singer and has never been. Her appeal has nothing to do with that. Idk why haters keep going on and on about her vocals when she's 16 years into her career and that has never been an issue for her to succeed + she has gotten criticized about that several times. Like let it go or smth :skull:

Yes? What an artist can "get away with" depends on their audience. I can't think of any black singer-songwriters like Taylor in the mainstream, but if there was one they would need to have great songwriting. vocals wouldn't matter for them either.

Like in 2023 folks are still kii kiing over the fact that Taylor isn't a good live singer. Lol we know that since 2008. Have u been living under a rock since then?

yes. becoz she hasn’t improve since then. that’s like a decade and a half of noise pollution

Taylor Swift fans (hardcore and casuals) clearly don't care about that!

We literally have a rereleased album from 08 that she put out in 2021, with the vocals absolutely improved :toofunny2: y’all are equating Mariah runs as the only “good” singing but most singer songwriters aren’t known for that. Bob Dylan isn’t known for his vocals

As many people pointed out, Rihanna is right there (and unlike Taylor she really has no other notable talent related to music) and she's like the second or third most successful female artist of the 21st century so :rip:

Let’s be real Rihanna has gotten away with mediocrity since day 1,

but this thread is lame and these women, even the less vocally gifted ones, are all way more impressive, talented, and powerful than anyone in this thread will ever be. So it’s whack of y’all to sit around and try to belittle them from your home when you should be worried about how you’re gonna pay your next bill.

Alicia gets dragged for her vocals all the time.

She just started getting dragged

and by the Hive at that (because of some users who used Alicia as a shield)

dont think anyone actually thinks Alicia is some weak singer :toofunny3:

ot: As the answer suggest, yes

Yall need to learn that nobody cares about "vocals" in the real world

but rihanna sings better than taylor and its not close (rihanna is mediocre as well)

Rihanna has literally 0 talent and has somehow been able to skate by without any backlash. Taylor doesn't need a strong singing voice because her talent in other areas shines as is evidenced by her continued success, acclaim and ever growing fanbase.
