Wouldn’t that be Mariah Carey as far as females go? I mean if we’re purely looking at commercial success Mariah clears Shakira too Maybe Shakira has the best longevity of any 90’s artist but definitely not the biggest debut/artist.

This is so wrong it's crazy. Besides Beyoncé debuting in the 90's, Mariah Carey is MUCH bigger than Shakira even if she was never as global. Her stats clear

We know where shakira is on spotify daily, and we know that solo Beyoncé is above her in total streams despite having less music  if we factor in DC it’s looking really bad for your girl. Mariah is more global than shakira. Shakira stans really are tryna pull the wool over everyone’s eyes about that lady, she DOMINATES latin america but mariah is also big there and everywhere else on the planet. Same with Beyoncé.

shakira is going to surpass her streams in spotify this year, cause beyonce last album tanked.

You're right tbh bc it doesn't seem like she's even pulling numbers in Europe even anymore. So it's US/Latin America and that's with FEATURES..without it's Latin America only.
