The video is doing well on YouTube at least :chick1:

and Japan is using.

I can see NMIXX getting a hit in Korea but I could also see them doing a bit of a straykids and having a strong international + JP fan base.

From a big 3 + Being ragged on from debut + loosing a member, I think they will have a strong/fierce fan base :rip:

Since illusion and Black Mamba are aespa's most popular songs on spotify, maybe the public wants a gp friendly but still aespacore song next cb?

Also the last image kills me cause stan twitter was acting like aespa didn't even make the top 100 but they literally were at #11 just after Red Velvet :rip:

Well based on the songs they performed in the tour, it seems like they're going towards the Illusion type of sound and steering away from too much KWANGYA (hopefully). So we'll see. I think it would be a smart move to use the end of SMCU season 1 to bring in a refresh/evolution of their sound.

That last image is interesting because Red Velvet is the only group in that top 10 without any U.S./global distributor/label.

I hope the B-sides aespa performed on tour will make it to the album. I'm getting quite concerned about the title track though...doesn't seem like anything has been picked for certain yet :dancehall:

everything about NMIXX is a disaster, I don't see them ever keeping up with 4th gen in any capacity.

But I guess if Teddy Bear can smash so can this hot crossed buns song or whatever

Why are they dragging?

How is the song performing on charts??

they’re dragging because exols and sheep said some time ago that BTS music is too westernized and they’d rather listen to western artists

and now since Kai released a remake of a “western demo” they’re dragging

I mean they have JYP privilege so there's always a possibility they can get a hit, and they'll always have the backing and support of a big company. Their (somewhat freaky fishy) album sales are proof of that.

But they've been given the worst possible start. I don't think I've seen a big 3 company have such a terrible 1st year as NMIXX :deadbanana2:

why is the title allowed to be up even though it’s such a huge lie

To spite the pressed and insecure blonks in here and I love Ryan for that! :coffee:

Btw, what's the difference between Hanteo and Circle? Cause SKZ have sold over 10M on Circle but 7M on Hanteo?

Circle counts total global sales no?

Also Red Velvet have like 119 songs so obviously their monthly stats will be bigger but in reality, only 2 of those 119 are being streamed more than 100k times per day despite being gp friendly meanwhile for aespa it's all their title tracks and also a bside but whatever

This gen really is pretty interesting success wise, you never really who might snatch a hit in a matter of weeks :rip:

Yeah for sure - assuming JYP doesn't have a back up plan here they'll stay committed to NMIXX but really, their debut year has taken them nowhere and just confused everyone at what nmixx actually is.

In an alternative universe JYP launched Kep1er who rise up via the TwicePrint and take the mantle. Kep1er is SO good, an act that unlike NMIXX deserves the exposure and success.

These two songs(and era) are timeless

I have watched and read all tarot readings about aespa for 2023 and literally almost ALL of them mentioned a rebrand coming :jonny5:

Tea, I'm interested to see if IVE, LF and NewJeans can keep up the pace as well. Will be interesting to see it all play out for sure :rip:

I think JYP's back up plan might be NiziU Korean debut, which is confirmed for this year. If they somehow get a hit in Korea (I don't see it for them, but who knows), then NMIXX's future may be more uncertain.

It's a shame because they have some talented members, especially Lily. But the material and concepts JYP is giving them, it's just not iT. But there's still always a chance they can get a hit, especially if they clean up the group's direction and find a good song.

Let's hope so. My dream is for them to come back with an evolved sound, a full album, double title track and individual track videos for all the girls' solo songs. Boom. :jonny3:

It’s already so much more entertaining than 3rd gen and I hope it the messiness continues so i can see the prophecies on ktrl being broken constantly   :hippo:

Ooooh yeah I always forget Niziu is already following the TwicePrint. :rip:

Guess we'll see how NMIXX pans out. If the worst case scenario happens where they cant get a hit and end up disbanding, hopefully it happens in a way the girls can go elsewhere and find other groups. There definitely is some super stars ready in that group.

Ok this came on my timeline and idk whats going on here but the DRAMATICS :dies: @Babymomo

The comments are all saying evil edit etc lol

honestly these kinda shows are bound to have a lot of solo stans, it’s just toxicity from day one. Seems very stressful to be in a fandom like this tbh. Idk how IZ*one and Kepler fans did it :coffee:

i think ENHYPEN doesn’t have this problem as severe imo

Oh bb you should see BPtwt, everyone literally DESPISES each other, when i tell u this group is gonna be Akagae central....whew

Also mnet is super sinophobic so never be surprised at how they nonchalantly ruin C trainees with bs edits. Don't know why they even invite them on if they hate them that much. Kepler stans don't have it cause theyre too busy hating on hyihhy collectively and EN stans are too busy writing them in y/n fics too give a F. This group however feels like a simultaneous collapse with a dash of headache inducing solo stan war.

As long as my mains Jay, Seunghwan, Gunwook and Jiwoong are left out of this mess ill giggle from the sidelines

didn’t NiziU have some sort of Japanese imperialism scandal already? curious to see if that will hold them back if so - not that they would deserve it but if even a member of a relevant group like Stiff can have her career tanked for years before making a gradual comeback in reputation, it might

nmixx is kinda jyp’s The Grace but at least the latter flopped with quality

I think they did. Plus they are all Japanese, so they will find it difficult. The same way XG is not gaining any traction in Korea and they also had scandals after their company CEO made anti-Korean comments. I think NiziU will suffer difficulties with gaining GP support in Korea, but it's not impossible and JYP probably thinks it's worth the risk.

CSJH The Grace were such stars and so talented.

Shame they didn't last, SM ruined them by shipping them to Japan too soon (where they also flopped with quality).
