BP are on their 7th year alreayd and they're already on Taylor's level globally in her 7th year (the RED era), surpassed Ariana's 7th year tour (the SWT tour) a few more comebacks, more global promo and they'll easily be a global stadium force in no time (beyond Asia).

I can see them becoming a Bad Bunny level touring force in the Americas, maintaining their dominance in Asia, the real test will be how well they'll do in Europe over time. But at this point they're already on track to do a $200M tour given the stadium encores and we all know they're doing US stadiums later in the year, easily on the level of Pink/Taylor/Bey globally.

is it crack? :deadbanana4:

I don't understand how they went from this to SMF....

There have been a LOT of comebacks between Likey and SMF and they went under a significant image change in that period.....

they've had both bangers AND duds in both kinds of sounds and image though. TTT was fantastic just last year, SMF was just a weaker rehash attempt. I'm confident they'll go back to quality. I just hope they get away from the retro sound, we've had it for at least 3 years now. ENOUGH. :bird:

dont be stupid i know you hate BLACKPINK but dont ask me ask the touring receipts people, the numbers speak for themselves.

90k tickets ALONE in Kaoshiung for 2 shows of 45k thats 23M USD alone. Its ridiculous to even compare them to 90% of global acts.

theyre running to 200M with the original 53 dates and that's not including the Foro Sol Mexico dates, the encore US, UK, France, stadium dates and the eventual last stop return to Asia later in the year.

They're running for a 200-250M gross SO FAR without the encore dates, I know its hard to fathom how VASTLY bigger BLACKPINK is compared to any K-pop act not named BTS but the numbers speak for themselves, in their 7th year they're as big in the touring department as Taylor Swift was. With an average of $250 ticket price they're on track to at worst gross 200M so be ******* for real.

"Never heard a song that sounded like pure serotonin straight to the vein"

um this is not Likey though :swan:

the way this song is literally all the JOY and HAPPINESS in the world wrapped in a few mins :jonnycat: (although the subject matter and lyrics are a satire ofc)

one of the best structures in a pop song EVER :jonnycat: It keeps getting better as it progresses, and i forget all my worries when i listen to it  This was the peak of cute Twice tbh. It's also so close to 600M btw. :clap3:

---------------

also why is this kinda cute :bird: GOT7 members never shy away from saying what they want

I mean their iconic pop cocaine songs were back to back along with what is likely, heartshaker, yes or yes, DTNA and what is love.

:jonny2:

the way i'll never get tired of this EXHILARATING banger, the retro sound done par perfection. They came really close last year with Talk That Talk though. Too bad SMF kinda fell flat in comparison.

Savage is the best produced song in K-pop, objectively, in at least a decade. Please don’t come after the quality of Aespa’s discography when you stan a group who can’t hit highs like Savage, Illusion, Next Level and Girls.

Feel Special > ICSM > CFM > M&M > SMF > AF > TTT > Fancy

Their best songs post image change.

Yeppi Yeppi is truly amazing. They could have established a new alter-sound for themselves if it was promoted tbh, kinda like RV with red and velvet sides.

but i must admit aespa shines the most with songs like Lucid Dream and Illusion. Plus they have the vocals to pull off the chill moody rnb style more. The garbage like Girls was such a blunder in their discography, otherwise they would still be competing with IVE and NJ on the k-charts today :rip:

Jihyonce is an absolute MOTHER in every sense but this was a horrible song choice.

Someone said TWICE are the female Super Junior and does that not just make sense? Nowhere to be found on the charts in Korea? US? Globally? 1.7M album sales but 1.2M streams? Some of those people that bought the album did nawt stream it whew good for them! bUt- bEsT sElLiNg gIrlGrOuP iN kOrEa wItH 20 aLbErMs! 100k FW iN uS bIgGeR tHaN bLaCkPiNk! But really this is all JYPEs fault, the way they were so AFRAID of what happened to MissA they pivoted to the complete opposite end and f*cked over TWICE in the process in the long term by refusing to give them solo opportunities during their peak years, now Nayeon is hard carrying the groups relevance and they basically operate like a boygroup, even Red Velvet is doing better than them in most metrics I mean FMR? smash hit! + 1M album sales too and STILL relevant 9 years later? With ZERO global label presence as well.

Turns out the reigning 3rd gen group of the 2010s is nowhere to be found in the 2020s, the Katy Perry's of the 3rd gen I fear :fan:!

ATRL'S NEXT TOP MODEL| S5 | WINNER: Karlie Kloss - Games - ATRL

Onces just need to sit down for once and acknowledge that their faves are legacy acts and NOWHERE near, not even 1/10th of the power BTS, NewJeans or BLACKPINK hold. Enjoy your colorpop and On The Ground mv/Sweetest Pie rip off singles and leave my allegedly 'lazy' $250m grossing global stadium tour faves ALONE.

Thankfully SM realized their mistake and aespa now has an unofficial semi-dual concept which are Kwangya and Real World!
