JYP has always been a more gg focused company to begin with, hence why they only debut 1 Korean bg each generation (not including bands). JYP bgs usually tend to be less popular than their ggs in almost every generation, hence why the company prefers to debut more ggs I think. 

 

Wonder Girls & miss A > 2PM

TWICE > GOT7

ITZY & NMIXX < SKZ

 

SKZ is an outlier though cause I don't think anybody expected a JYP bg to become the most popular bg globally since BTS and carrying the company alongside THÈ TWICE.

 

 

But the streets are saying that their new boy group JYP LOUD are debuting next year to end RIIZE.

Imagine having Longevity, Talent, Vocals and a Stellar discography! Even tho that cream soda song this year made no noise. Nice to see them stay cement Icons.

despite losing a huge chunk of their korean fanbase they actually did decent on k-charts (for bg standarts) tbh  and promotions didn’t even last a week sadly…

I’m still gagged the BTS boys got Usher & Justin Timberlake Collabs this year.
My faves could never Except SNSD & JYJ who got Kanye & Snoop dog to hop on thier songs. SM open your purse for Aespa 

 

So what Western Collabs do we expect to see in 2024? 🤭

Bad boy was released in late Jan though so technically another year

IU was so generous to take a year off and let the other girls breathe 

good luck next year though  The charts will be crazy (IU, NewJeans, GIDLE, LE SSERAFIM (?) + TWICE, ITZY are all supposed to release early 2024)
