LMAO.

International distribution deals?? In second gen?? Pre-BTS? The only "international" deal was to JAPAN and CHINA. This is literally why Twice has Japanese members and EXO had Chinese members, despite Korea's horrible history with those countries.

Wonder Girls literally flopped after Nobody, this is well known. this is why JYP was always scared of expanding West, because Wonder Girls literally gave SNSD and T-ARA and opening by doing that.

SNSD has a higher annual revenue now because there are just more kpop fans who entered thanks to BTS and BP (YOU). Yes, they are worldwide, because Hallyu is worldwide (and not just PSY) anymore

STOP THE LARPING!!! Its embarrassing!!

Im talking about 3rd gen and RED VELVET (a talking point you ******* brought up but are too dense to check and verify despite bringing it up). Twice & Blackpink have been signed to US labels for YEARS, RV hasn't. RV was actively stifled to make way for a more global group which is what aespa is meant to serve as.

Wonder Girls made music in English and had distribution through American labels. BoA had a push in the US marker LONG before groups like BTS and Exo even debuted, and distribution deals in Japan much earlier. Acting like Kpop wasnt attempting to break into the US/International marketpalce outside of Asia and that there weren't active progressive steps to doing so is extremely incredulous.

Wonder girls did not ******* flop after Nobody. They toured the world and had SEVERAL successful singles in Korea. Even their disbanding single went #1 on Gaon despite them being completely over at that point. I'm not the one LARPing when you can go and ******* read the chart numbers and single sales for yourself. YOURE larping by never coming in here and engaging with us, only to come and start fighting over your own righteous stance of being "around" longer than us. Your stan goggles have clouded you to the point where you cant even recognize Wonder Girls active success (especially given the generation they were in).

SNSD "higher revenue" sentence doesn't make any grammatical sense. If you took any ******* time to read my reply instead of being entirely reactionary and dense you'd read that I said this:

You're arguing like three different points in a single post and its entirely incoherent. If you could take the time to format and communicate your thoughts clearly (abilities id assume youd have on a forum as a member for over a year and an alleged member of other fan forums for years), maybe we could have an actual conversation here. You keep bringing random stats + figures into arguments that I am not even referring to to make a point, and on top of that are taking quotes from the most RANDOM allkpop/soompi/other koreaboo forums to try and gag me. Im genuinely so confused by this conversation.

New kpop stans can't read apparently, it's even colorcoded

You said that Red Velvet was stifled for Aespa, a group that the members and the lineup wasn't even present at the company at that time. Only until Irene was a monster and Wendy broke her bones, they released this underthought BP copy. If you paid attention to SM rookies, almost all the teased girls were not in aespa. And SM rookies was there for years

You cannot stifle RV for aespa if aespa doesn't exist, and was only made to divert attention from their main visual yelling at a stylist

My point was, neither RV or aespa was thought out. Even RVs concept, "the red" and "the velvet" fell apart within a couple of years. And OFC SM would not want to give RV a distribution deal; they debuted a year before Twice, and 2 years before BP, and they undersold both despite being the first group in an uncompetitive GG market (2NE1, SNSD, and WG inactive, T-ara dating scandals, KARA member issues)

You didn't even know Hara or her group within the past few years, stop clutching your pearls, such narcissistic behavior

And it was other people bringing up how unsuccessful 2nd generation girl groups are compared to SNSD. Well duh, some groups literally suffered tragedy and its stupid to compare them. I didn't bring that up.

People who can't read and LARP as old kpop stans is narcissistic "trogolodyte" behavior. If you say SNSD stands on the heads of other 2nd gen girl groups, YES, you are bringing ALL 2nd gen girl groups, INCLUDING KARA and f(x) and even Ladies Code depending on who you ask

I've noticed something funny about ENGENES. They often emphasize ENHYPEN's status as the youngest/newest group, almost as if they're still rookies, even though it's been three years since their debut, and in any group lineup someone has to be the "newest" group, which can be everyone depending on the lineup.

It's interesting to note that ENHYPEN and aespa made their debuts just two weeks apart and ENHYPEN only debuted 1 year after TXT.

However, this emphasis on being rookies isn't as prevalent among fans of NewJeans, IVE, and LE SSERAFIM, who all debuted just last year. Like how long are Engenes gonna pull the "newest" card, cause ENHYPEN are already semi hags in Kpop years at this point.

They were. The second they had a scandal SM rushed aespa out after having them on the backburner for months. A year before that Capitol records wanted to sign Red Velvet and SM denied the request.

‘뮤콘 2019’ 니콜 프란츠 “슈퍼엠 프로젝트? 해외서 K팝 성장 가능성 봤다” - 스타투데이 (mk.co.kr)

Instead they pushed NCT/SuperM in the Us and left RV to promote in Korea where they would go on hiatus bc of Wendys injury (a point that you were able to communicate poorly in your attempt). I shouldn't have to educate such a longtime fan of the group Red Velvet on this simple fact now should I. It's not a coincidence that aespa cosigned with a US label a year after debut, and its not a coincidence that every 3rd gen group onward at SM has had some sort of US distribution deal. SM knew they had a girl group ready to debut and wanted to push them worldwide and that's what's been happening.

Ningning, Winter and Karina were ALL at the company and Giselle was cast in 2019 and they began finalizing the lineup for a debut. Black Mamba's MV was shot in late 2019/early 2020 before getting reshot before their debut later that year. SM Rookies was not ALL of the trainees. Im sure such an educated stan as yourself who has been a long time fan would know this information but you clearly dont. Here's a LOVELY Koreaboo article that details this process since you're clearly incapable of using popular web browsers like "Google", or "Bing".

Aespa Get Real About Why They Didn’t Think They Would Get To Debut When They Were Trainees - Koreaboo

Red Velvet consistently bags highs streams and domestic hits despite having much lower production budget than their peers. They have songs eligible for gold certs in the US and have some of the highest streams in their company. They quite literally peaked less than 12 months before aespa debuted with Psycho (a song that charted all year and made the Gaon year end chart for 2020) and that year (2019) could have been a watershed moment for them to have a global push, especially considering ALL of them resigned to the company. SM consistently printed less albums than RV was selling (and continue to to this day) They were collaborating with US artists like Ellie Goulding and John Legend. It's not a stretch to say that they could have had a Global push and were actively stifled in that approach for a new group (clearly aespa) to come in. SM (and all kpop companies) are run by men who have shown their ass in promoting multiple female groups simultaneously. Its very obvious what happened and just because you can't see past your own logic doesn't mean its a conspiracy or nonexistent theory.

aespa's debut was entirely thought out and had a wealth of literal lore attached to it and they continually release music from pre-debut eras as their TITLE TRACKS. The only title track of theirs that is not an English single from that batch of demos is Girls, which was an NCT demo. Their group was very obviously planned and they have had several writing camp sessions and marketing sessions to form an identity, an identity that has proceeded through ALL of their comebacks.

So, what can we learn from this post that I've coherently written? You clearly don't have a grasp on what youre talking about despite attempting to have a "conversation" and are out of youre ******* league here. Stop speaking on **** you clearly know NOTHING about. I wish I could speak so boldly and loudly on topics like you do without doing more than a simple google search to fact check my bullshit and start fights with people in here. Go back to the discord you crawled out of. I'm done engaging with you on this fine Sunday afternoon.
