The real difference in success is visible in areas where the gp is more responsible like the song charts. But the way 4th gen bgs are already so non existent in the digital realm, there is not much “cancellation” to base anything on. Maybe it’s slightly noticeable in the streams but even that area is mostly controlled by how big a group’s fanbase is. Mostly. 

It’s not even about digitals, since Loco was also a flop in Korea, but did amazing on global streaming.
ITZY has seen a huge decline in streaming as well. None of their songs since Loco which was 2 years ago have surpassed 100M streams. 

Their album sales are good though, but they haven’t really grown as much in sales either compared to their peers. Yeah they keep selling a million with each album, but they should be doing between 1.5M-2M album sales by now. NMIXX and ITZY should not be selling almost the same amount of albums for example.

I’d interchange Drunk Dazed and Bite Me but the rest I agree

Given Taken is truly one of the best bg debut songs ever, it almost sounds like it’s TOO good to be their debut song and should have been their comeback instead. I think debuting with a song as good as it kinda played a psychological mindgame with people and everyone overlooked the quality of that masterpiece, which kinda makes me mad.

Oh well in that case, they might just be either at the end of their stick, or might need some serious reinvention because people are tired of what they’re seeing lately. I wish them luck though, they’re very talented performers and they should be getting the same kinda quality and goodwill as Lesserafim is getting.

They really have GOT to be the best-packaged bg in recent memory tbh. From the music quality to visuals to storylines to the lore to the specific aura….everything is so well defined and executed and perfectly ties together. Belift Lab really did that. And there isn’t a huge discrepancy in the talents of the members either, and everyone blends so well when it comes to being a group (Yes even Sunoo, that boy is a chameleon)
