This one’s pretty easy. LSM has wanted a rotation group since the mid-2000s based on Morning Musume. When Super Junior finally launched, Korean fans became super angry at the rotational concept and it was dropped. They tried it again with Red Velvet and SM Rookies, but other than adding Yeri to the group, fans pushed back. He finally got it with NCT and it paid off, but the company has been too strained to support their endless comebacks and the management they need to constantly release. Plus, rotation groups do not work in the Western world so, while NCT could tour, they do not have the global appeal of a fixed group and they would never be able to perform like a major group.

This. I often see people saying "Miyeon got no aura, no star qualitea, etc." While she has the most complete package as an idol in her group

All HYPE groups got a huge boost in streaming after BTS's "hiatus". I guess their fanbase just switched their streaming target

It's looking like Discovery Mode's impact. TXT debuted with 2.2M but they charted high all their b-sides on Spotify Global, while Enhypen didn't chart any. Not a big deal, cause It looks like a lot of popular acts are using this feature nowdays.
