Born to Run Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Reminder that aespa peaked two years ago, they had their "Hot Summer" and that's about it. OT: I'm on my way-ay-ay.
Winmill De Kwynn Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Have y'all played Blue Blood with headphone, I'm crying It goes too HARDDDDDDDDDD
LuneMon Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 I was worried because I didn't like kitsch that much, but wow, I AM is really good.

EndofASadMovie Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 The album is 4/5 so far they all sound good on the chill tracks
Xalric Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Probably their worst song. It had potential, but I don't like J Seph and BM on it.

EndofASadMovie Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 As much as I dislike miss strawberry for stealing lines, I can't take my eyes off her. She also sounds tolerable now.
elevate Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Love the eastern influences on Blue Blood. The song as a whole makes me feel like world domination is imminent; let's begin.

Not the user you quoted but interesting thought. If they came back as often as something like TWICE? Absolutely not, they would oversaturate the market and the Teddy beat drop drags would reach a critical point that they would lose steam very quickly (the Teddy beat drop drags aren't really cared for irl bc they comeback very infrequently that the average K-pop listener still goes wild and goes 'SLAY!' when they hear a beat drop) If something like Red Velvet with a 2-1-2 (2 minis in a year then 1 mini then 2 minis again) I can absolutely see them going toe to toe with BTS in a lot of numbers departments, more than what they already are. The only thing holding BLACKPINK back from being a genuine global household girlgroup is the lack of English singles, infrequent release dates and terrible promo cycles. If they were given a **** ton of promo like HYBE levels + constant single droplets and actually decent stateside and Korean promo they'd easily be Top 40 radio forces here. Give them something like Fifty Fifty's Cupid or BTS' Butter and US radio would be 10x more receptive to them that they ever were to BTS simply bc the West just hates boygroups, girlgroups are somewhat more tolerable in general.
discreetinside Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Mine was so good, and being written by Wonyoung as well the girl have good taste on music
playboi Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 the album is very generic so far but I guess that’s their brand nice background music

Does the lukewarm response to Ice Cream prove that the Teddy formula is successful with the GP?
