I just find it funny how the times change. Last year it was "there's more to the world than just Melon" and apparently SK is local and domestic success was being sneered at, but now it's all "aespa should stop being global and focus on SK".

LTS went top 40 on U.S. pop radio and the album reached the top 3 of BB200 and they sold out their showcase date. That's hardly "no demand".

Even their Coachella performance (which you dragged and called the crowds dead etc.) did aespa a lot of good and showed that their music was well received.

They’re more than just Melon apply for establishing group like BP who etablished themselves in SK before starting promoting in the US.

Chung ha, Monsta X and Loona also reached the top 40 too. That’s mean nothing.

If their performances did a lot of good and their music was well received they wouldn’t be so behind their peers in term of streams.  The same peers who are out streaming them in the US without promoting there, or without the back up of an US label.

The dramatics :deadbanana4: the baemon video had almost 20M views before the ads kick in and their account is almost at 500k subscribers without a single uploaded video yet :deadbanana2: the ads not even directed to their channel but anyway, thank you BlackPink

Even before the 20 millions views they were using ads, look at the number of likes :rip:! BP would never

the last few pages are a mess :deadbanana4:

those few LSRFM stans not able to comprehend that it’s not fearless or revolutionary to act like your ex co-worker doesn’t exist and it’s not about standing behind the bully but just admitting the existence of such person :rip: which clearly affected all of the girls and their careers so it’s as much relevant to them as any other thing post debut (hate? from who exactly?I think they are liked overall)

it shouldn’t be an issue to admit that the concept is all fake and forced and feels inauthentic after Garam fiasco :cm:

also people coming for NewJennies yt stats :rip: they have tons of content, multiple performance vids, long videos with interruptions - their audio versions there seem fine

they are actually one of the few groups that have somehow matching stats - the sales, streaming on different platforms, overall interest is all there - it’s not like they have those numbers only on spotify, they are up there on all Korean services, in Japan, on Apple Music WW, top 50 in the US, two songs in the top 30 on spotify global and that was BEFORE TTH push and before they got those big numbers of playlist reach (top 50 charts are also affecting those)

they are getting slightly pushed now, after the success, not the other way around which is amazing, they have great team!

Congrats on the YouTube VIEWS, but how much money is generated form views? Did they even gained any profit after deducting the ads fee?

and aespa can continue gaining PROFIT from album sales from just CBARS alone.

so get aespa out of your stinky mouth

well, BP is like one of the acts not using any ads :rip: not to mention those „farm views” somehow are able to show up in person during their record breaking tour which will bring them around 200m$ revenue but okay

oh and btw album sales and spotify and AM streams are also there! AND they are even able to stay on the chart in their country, even though they underperformed there a little, but still are doing by far the best among their peers :cm:

and those other artists also have pretty good stats, you know? album sales, great streams domestically and globally… they are also supposed to go on tour this year, so we will get the chance to see if the demand is there. I wouldn’t be too brave to speak up too loud, because there are some groups with some weird stats and I don’t think they are included in that yt breakdown or any other year end list :rip:

what are the other stats to prove your point? what other charts should we consider to measure the demand for them abroad? they entered some other countries’ charts? spotify? am? what is there other than sales (in US and Japan I guess)? streaming is the biggest indicator of the success in music industry now and they are clearly lacking there

also the decision to send them to the US and ditch Korea was a mistake too, they underperformed in their home country and did nothing in the US that would make their profile bigger, they aren’t on the map there

SM should go back to the drawing board and focus more on SEA countries, those are the markets that should be their main focus - see BP or even NewJennies, BP’s main force is huge SEA support and it’s clear NJ are building fandom in Asia first, they were also able to enter the charts in a couple of countries there - loyal SEA fans are the spine of the fandom

and of course it’s nice to have Chinese bulk buyers on your side, but that’s something aespa already has so they are more than fine in that department (I don’t know about their charting there and if aespa’s music is available on Chinese services, so I won’t speak about that)

There’s literally nothing fraudulent about NewJeans’ success. It makes sense considering how popular they have gotten and their music is different compared to most 4th gen.. if a group like BP can be successful right off the bat why cant it be possible for other groups lol. Anyway gotta defend nieces!

YG is gonna be stupid enough to debut Baemon in like June

Posted (edited)

Hi guys, I just want to clarify that I don’t mean BP being the one using ads, they, along with RV, are probably the only 2 who don’t use ads.

i meant some other group who is NOT SHY in showing off their fraud YouTube views :bird:

BLACKPINK is so mismanaged it hurts :deadbanana4: I have no doubt in my soul if a competent label like HYBE had them in their roster they'd be running circles around that other group  so many missed HIT singles.
