So I can’t give an opinion about a song release now?

Also you should be the last one talking about « long ass post ranting » Seriously :coffee2:

Respectfully, go back and read your own post from an objective point of view and maybe you’ll see why people are having a problem with it.

also, at least my “rants” are not about criticizing a young rookie idol for things outside their control :cm: but good job shifting the topic on me though :clap3:

Makes sense. Some quotes are literally implying that HYBE is doing it on purpose to beat SKZ. Stan twitter is too unserious :ahh:

I believe IVE and LSRFM will also pull big streams next comeback given how well After Like and Antifragile did/are doing. So NJ won't be the only group beating them. RIP.

I mean, I hope everyone took notes (especially SM)!

Playlisting is the best way to promote but ofc the song need to listenable in order to have longevity

Everyone is allowed to criticize and give their opinions, I wasn’t mean or disrespectful to Yunjin so I fail to see what’s wrong?

You’re the one who was shady with your « long ass quote » comment, I would have never talk about your posts otherwise. So don’t act like that your usual « rants » are somehow better.

Please quote a lyrical analysis that was done for I=/=Doll. posts attacking Yunjin and LE SSERAFIM for being fake are not lyrical criticism :) I don’t even like the song myself so…

The criticism revolves around the themes on the lyrics and how their whole image is just a fake brand like any other group.

It’s just kinda cringe. Talking about how critical the industry is while conforming to it :rip:

Talking about how pathetic haters are when they are already like “OT5 is perfect. Love is the way we are. We’re so strong and United” like they weren’t OT6 like months ago :rip: Those haters clearly got what they wanted.

Idk, my own opinion is just, if you’re going to have lyrics like that at least show that you’re trying to combat it a bit.

She was part of PD101. She already had experience to know the idol world was very critical (considering how she was heavily criticized due to evil mnet edits making her look selfish and self centered). She was then a trainee and then dropped. And then a trainee again etc.

Like ok you experienced it all before, then still decide to become an idol. Then conform to stick thin and pale beauty standard. Then a member is kicked out of your group over a controversy and you pretend she never existed after a month or two.

That’s why members in this thread made comments that the lyrics seem performative. They’re written to look woke and cool. “Look at me I’m criticizing the status quo”

the fumes over yunjin are honestly disturbing considering it’s that mindset that allows labels to continue to do what they do….

these are barely legal teenage girls and y’all are jumping on them for either speaking out about the idol life (yunjin) or being an obedient idol (wonyoung)

i prefer yunjin’s “performative” criticism of idol treatment over sitting behind a screen cruelly criticizing idols in their late teens because “that’s just stan culture” in one breath while expecting them to start a revolution or shut up in other breath :skull:

garam is not the members' responsibility. i'm not sure what's your point

By claiming they are "preaching" about female empowerment you suggested that the members are somehow wrong for doing that due to Garam's "takedown".

But at least we can agree it's not the members responsibility, so your posts attacking them for singing about certain topics are functionally redundant.

it really isnt. le sserafim is more than the members. its an entire company project. the members are merely puppets. it's wrong for the /project/ (if that's a better term than 'group') to accessorize female empowerment while practicing the opposite, wrongly succumbing a female to a witchhunt to protect their profits.

what if garam was a bully

very empowering for them to stand up to their bully and get her out of the group

let's go sakura

don't let that ho trash your nose!

okay, so I know SM likes to make the photobooks the same, but is GOT The Beat's Stamp ver. and Beat ver. the same or different?

again, instead of asking me what’s wrong with the nature of your criticism, I’m willing to believe you have the ability to read and decipher that yourself.

and sure, idk how the subject matter of my “rants” are even more remotely relevant to this topic but whatever I guess :cm:

Dementia is the herd mentality in the Kpop community and everyone running around with bs, as exemplified by your own post.

Garam's friend did not come out with a statement defending her, it was Garam herself. And it wasn't a 'statement' claiming she's innocent, she posted the actual School Violence Report which detailed all the happenings, confirming HYBE's side of the story that she was not a bully and just cursed at a colleague who commited sexual assault to another friend of hers. :cm:

Receipts please maybe I missed something :cm:

All of our faves are low key fake in order to sell an image that their company had carefully chosen for them. I was so shock when I first heard BP talked. The way they were selling the hard/girl crush image so well on stage, and I was buying it, but then  every single one of them was speaking in BABY VOICE. Jisoo until these days still rotating between her deep smoker voice and her baby voice when I catch their clips on YT.

Yunjin grew up in the west, so I do think she finds a lot of things in kpop very toxic and genuinely want to change it for the better, but she doesn’t have the mean to do it yet.
