Extremely impressive for a soundtrack single. If she had come back with R9 first it would've demolished everything.

Well yeah but hopefully the drop is on par with other songs and not a huge % :lakitu:

I doubt it'll fall that much tbh.

7.6M is terrible for a comeback single after 6 years for someone as big as Rih lol. It's not like Black Panther singles are known to be flops and Billie Eilish did the same numbers with a soundtrack single and no 6 year hyoe

she NEVER loses :jonny:

People complain about those numbers but they have no clue how the next day might look. See U in Monaco

Is it at least half of what it made today? Cause the song is doing well enough from what I can tell if that's the case

Ohhh these are great numbers for a ballad :clap3: honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if it actually rises tomorrow :jonnycat:

There likely isn’t even one Navy, that ever expected Rihanna’s musical comeback to be attatched to a film soundtrack. Or sound anything like it does. There are definitely no excuses. I do think that is a fact to be considered no less.

Amazing numbers for that song. Can't wait for her actual lead single which will destroy most known records

These numbers don't need an excuse.

1. You mean 9M.

2. Best Soundtrack debut ever numbers are great numbers.

3. Find something real to attack

Give us some examples of artists that came back after 6-7 years and had a huge opening day/week regardless the material. You must be able to name at least 10 artists since it seems like according to you Rih is the exception that failed to meet those numbers. Oh and Adele better not be on that list, cause she is an anomaly. Waits for your response.

I fear for the drop, it has 0 replayability and baby were just curious to hear Rih's return

It was a tribute OST song from an artist that didn’t release for 7 years and had a ton of hype leading up to her first release :deadbanana4:

I’m sure her actual lead single will be fine but why are we out here finding excuses for her debuting behind Taylor while diminishing Taylor’s achievements? The truth is that it couldn’t match Anti-Hero’s 7th day and those are the facts.

Weird because I remember ATRL saying it’s very hard and rare for a mainstream act to come back after 6-7 years and smash… so what is the truth ?

Good numbers. However many of the soundtrack songs mentioned wern't hyped up as comeback singles. Nor did they get #1 on TTH or nearly 30 million in radio audience in a day. Some had a video, but yeah. The intention is clear with this song. They want a #1 debut after nearly 7 years.

If they wanted it that bad they wouldn’t release a lullaby lol

Not people trying to drag these numbers :rip: her lead single will probably do even more.

Well of course! That's exactly why she released a total bop right before the Haloween that appeals to everyone! They wanted that party smash!

Try at least to make some sense.

Also, if this song pulled 9M it’s very clear that her lead (if good and uptempo) will pull 15M+

I thought the numbers would be even lower once I heard the song, but the hype pulled through.

I don’t think it’ll serve longevity, but I can see it go #1 and be a multiweek top 10 hit. It’s a good song after all.

Right, because only bops can debut at #1 :toofunny3:

Good numbers taking all things into consideration.
