'Lift Me Up' debuts #3 WW with +7.6M, +9M combined

I was expecting a much bigger debut for Rih’s comeback but there’s no point in pretending this is bad. 7.6M is a huge debut and between the streams and the radio, the song is definitely debuting at #1-#2 at the worst.

i gave it a listen and it's a beautiful song. this is all a good prelude to her real comeback which i'm sure will smash even harder.

Rihanna’s comeback debuting below a Taylor Swift single… wasn’t on my 2022 bingo card

Not people acting like those are bad numbers :deadbanana4: if it was like Olivia Rodrigo everyone would have praised them

the number itself is not awful but the expectations were really high since this is her first song after almost 7 yrs plus she failed to pass taylor too

Taylor still beating her combined :rip:

I honestly liked the instrumental more than the song. It’s like a calming vibe to it. I think I played it more than the actual song. :deadbanana:  it was beautiful.

Her uptempo lead will demolish next year

Fantastic numbers for what it is

So it’s 8x more streams than lady gaga’s shallow? I thought Rihanna would do way less taking into account how HUGE gaga is:jonny3:.

The whole dysphoria you express on every single thread related to this release is remarkable!

Amazing numbers :clap3:

I think these are good numbers. Yes, it's like her first song in a few years, and yes, it is for the soundtrack of a huge MCU property in the wake of that movie's lead actor tragically passing away, but at the same time it is still a ballad and still a soundtrack song.

I think her real single can do something like 15M-20M on Spotify and 5-7M in US when she decides to drop it.

What a stomp :jonny:

This is very good for an OST and a ballad always has longevity vs. debut as they’re more GP consumed

i honestly love this song and it’ll be a smash in France/Switzerland (where the other Oscar buzz ballad HMH was strong)

She barely announced the single 2 days before the release :rip:

It's Taylor, no reason to discount how huge of a debut LMU had

I don't think these numbers are enough for a #1 despite of the massive airplay and the #1 on Apple Music.

It needed it to be higher than Anti-hero on spotify too. So I'm thinking it will debut at #2

Funny because it she had released during any of those weeks when Harry was #1 with those weak points she would have easily been #1, but now she's facing Anti-hero which it's massive right now

Anti-hero is massive? u got to be kidding
1 - 38 next week
