Carrie-is-no-1 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 The jealousy in this thread Once in a few years we have a woman doing an exceptional feat and y’all can’t just band together to congratulate her? OP update: insane number, whether it’s 1.4M or 1.6M
jjmed59 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 oof adele stans are going THROUGH it taylor’s ambition and work ethic knows no limits. truly a one of kind artist.
Green Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Poor Bad Bunny. He was going to get the #1 album of 2022 (calendar year) now Taylor will get it if she opens with 1.5 millon. She has 10 more weeks to pass the 3 million mark and snatch Bad Bunny's wig.

Lil Mxnster Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 This is absolutely insane Imagine if she had performed at Super Bowl!

If it opens with 600-800k with her plethora of versions then I can't wait to bump all these Swifties. Because it will SURELY be embarrassing if Taylor can't significantly outsell her own re-recording with her next studio album. This one
Broken Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Biggest pop girl on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Earth, Universe and Multiverse.

In 20 years will anyone remember any song from Midnights? Celebrate your fave's 20 copies being bought over and over by the same fans and keep Brit out of it, kthxbye

BlueTimberwolf Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 How much of this is streams? I thought her fans were younger, why are they buying so many physical copies? Is it as a collector's item?

Vine101 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 She’s so committed, stable, and talented that I can honestly see her next album doing over 1M again too. A legend

Not to mention its lead single didn’t have a proper physical/retail release in hopes of drawing attention to the album instead.

And the irony of you saying she's not like 1989 or Reputation Taylor when the reason why she's outselling 1989's opening week is because she's never been this universally beloved before She was very polarizing and hated during 1989 and Reputation but thanks to folklore/evermore she's now respected not just by pop fans A much better place to be in lol

Now what we are not going to do is call the biggest female debut from 2000 to 2015 "hardly impressive".
