The shake It off hate, i never understand It. Such a bop, the production is incredibile, every Martin song on rep It's just worst than It.

The only very terrible song in the album Is Bad Blood. Welcome to new York problem Is the annoying chorus with no lyrics.

Her pop lead singles are all trash compared to her country ones except LWYMMD. It’s that simple, no matter how much they have succeeded, they all left a bad taste.

Tim McGraw alone obliterates WANEGBT, Shake It Off, ME!, and yes Anti-Hero.

have you guys noticed that the Wildest Dreams (TV)'s canvas on spotify now pauses on the wink and then continues?

Must not mean something because Speak Now TV is next! Nothing else matters.

Some of you stans are so delusional with the Shake It Off hate. It is essential to her discography and if it didn't exist she would have zero known songs in many countries of the world.

I'm very clearly talking about her discography highlights/song quality. Otherwise why would I mention Clean and New Romantics?

We should since all of her albums are ranked #1 except Lover.

I know I did not read that god awful take that Speak Now is worse than 1989. :rip: Last Kiss, Enchanted, Dear John, Long Live, Back to December, and yes, Haunted, are literally all top tier Taylor songs. Speak Now, Red, folklore, and evermore are easily her top 4 albums. Like the other 6 don’t even hold a candle to these. Especially not 1989 with Welcome to New York, Shake It Off, Bad Blood, and HYGTG. :rip:

1989 is the favorite Taylor album for people who never liked Taylor before. People who don’t care for her god tier bridges, her final chorus narrative changes, or her diaristic writing. 1989 has weak/repetitive bridges, songs with basically no real details, and relies way too much on the melodic sensibilities of what Max Martin wanted her to do at the time.

Why is no one talking about that lookalike that got invited to the grammys?

I tried really hard to spot a single lie, but I couldn't. :siptea:

How can be long live Better than shake It Off?. Just a generic pop rock ballad with the most standard production ever. It's cute if you're Taylor fan but no one else will ever care about that song. No producer, critic, enegineer will ever Say this.

Shake It Off Is a better song and that kind of song is Taylor swift signature or not doesn't change it. I can agree Taylor Swift is not Taylor Swift because of a song as shake It Off but still is just a better song.

The signatures of Taylor's style that also are better than shake It off are others. Most of them on albums after speak now.

The hot takes in this base have gone out of hands.

Shake It Off's bridge alone makes it terrible. It was a cute fun song to bop to when it was released in 2014 but that's about it. It sounds so dated now.

Posted (edited)

It's not an hot take. In its genre sio Is Just a "******* pop Song" (Liam Gallagher opinion about the Song) from the Genius max Martin, long live Is just long live, pure irrelevance.

All too well, cardigan and anti Hero are stands out.

Speak now is a cute album with some good tracks but there Is a reason even if with a 1M debut didn't get the AOTY nominee. Its just appealing to Swift fans who love her diaristix lyrics but has nothing more to offer to other listeners. This is why is the most forgotten now, even more than debut probably.

Speak Now is not forgotten, the entire standard edition has been doing over 100k daily except for 2 songs. That's on par with 1989, which has This Love (even before the TV it was doing below 100k) and I Know Places being the only 2 on it doing under 100k. 1989 just has way stronger singles.

Enchanted 727,000

Back to December (w/ Acoustic) 397,000

Better Than Revenge 159,000

Speak Now 152,000

The Story of Us 151,000

Mine 141,000

Sparks Fly 137,000

Dear John 132,000

Mean 130,000

Last Kiss 115,000

Haunted 101,000
