phreshprince Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 This is the dumbest decision… this new President doesn’t know what they are doing
harwee Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Its a merger. That tweet is just sensationalism, sigh. There will be more mergers in the future in the streaming world. The only one that I can confidently say won't merge with any service is Prime Video.
bleuwaffle Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 this is a terrible idea hbo max's content is the best out there.

alfonso12 Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 That would be tragic, HBO literaly owns the best scripted shows ever.
Witnessuss Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 (edited) The GP views HBOMax as the most trusted and worth-every-penny streaming service for its acclaimed and award-winning shows while people view Discovery+ as another money-hungry streaming service because of its panned "reality" shows that are literally at the same level as a dry turd which only redneck single parents enjoy, Zaslav should take a moment and reflect before the shareholders and consumers will make his tyrant-like ass suffer in the future. James_Dean Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Mess. Not just when I start finding myself using HBO Max the most these days
EnoughSaid Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Hbo max has incredible stuff and they’ve only been up for a year. This new boss is going to hell
fridayteenage Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 just to clarify, shows with major emmy noms: HBO shows: barry, curb your enthusiasm, euphoria, succession, white lotus, insecure, scenes from a marriage Netflix shows: ozark, squid game, stranger things, inventing anna, maid Hulu shows: only murders in the building, dopesick, dropout, pam and tommy, the great HBO Max shows: hacks, flight attendant, staircase, station eleven IF this were true, they could just move Hacks onto HBO. And there's plenty of room on HBO for more miniseries throughout the year. (Kaley said she's meh on a 3rd season of Flight, which already dropped from 5 major noms to 1 this year.)
SleepNoMore Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 What happens to PLL and AJLT??? Maybe they move to HBO proper?
pxxxtrick Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 This simply cannot be true. I refuse to believe
Gossip_Boy Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 I can’t imagine there’s a lot of crossover between subscribers of each service. Also WB is definitely toast.

Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 So what is the point of launching HBO Max then if they want to go back to the original HBO in the end? A quick cash grab??
Xantalli Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 (edited) Bawling my eyes out! HBOmax is legit the best streaming service!! From the classic HBO originals, to the hit or miss max originals, but what I absolutely love about them is their fantastic catalogue of films ugh! guess its gonna be hbogo + the criterion channel for me from now on! Uncatena Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 There are no words to describe how insanely stupid and self sabotaging this would be. RIP Hacks
KnightOfAllRealms Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 What happens to HBO original shows currently announced?
D/X Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Many people are claiming that the source is unreliable, but in all honesty, this wouldn't be a shocker... It's been months since Zaslav has done things that perhaps people haven't noticed: - They axed live-action family and children programming from HBO Max. - Canceled European original content. - Said that they would focus films to get theatrical releases. + the cancellations of Scoob 2 and Batgirl, which were already on post-production (!!!), just adds up. I do see them trying to push the Discovery brand, in the end he's staying loyal to it, and unscripted is cheaper. They are the new owners, which sucks.
Gui Blackout Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 I find this VERY hard to believe and the source is...

WBs entire back catalog going down the shitter for My 600 Lb Life and Guy Fieri.
