I don’t know if he would let Trump back. He build a right wing following the last couple years. After leftists started attacking him for his wealth growth during the pandemic and his covid measures too. So he started fighting back and right wingers follow anything that questions the left.

Elon was initially very liberal and environmentally friendly, that was his initial approach. If he let Trump back he would burn all his previous work with Tesla and his own brand so it would be stupid af.

Elon was never very liberal or environmentally friendly. That’s just part of the mythos he’s built around himself to sound like he alone is saving the planet. Also, never did I mention him letting Trump back on. So I’m not sure why you’re talking about that.

So now most of our social media is controlled by Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and China (TikTok).

Doesn't that sound like freedom to you?

For Twitter, yes. If you knew who was controlling Twitter before (big banks, malicious special interests groups) then you would see this as a good thing and a fresh start for the platform.

Sorry I misread your post, the phrase has been so repeated in this thread that is stuck in mu subconscious.

Why do you say this as if the richest person in the world is magically better than a big bank executive? :rip:

Because of his previous track record? Compare him to Zuckerberg/Facebook and you'll see a major difference in motive and character. Zuckerberg/Facebook/Instagram/WhatsApp steal your data and sell it for their own gain. They accept dirty money from people, groups, countries that have bad intent. Please watch the documentary on Netflix called The Social Dilemma if you have time, or at least the trailer.

It's in my post, big banks and malicious interest groups (Vanguard and Blackrock to name a few). These groups control the media and are not friendly towards the average working person.

Basically every "free" online service sells your data. Twitter already does it and that's not changing under the ownership of Elon Musk.

IF this is true then it's basically the end of stan twitter, if they have to verify they're ID, they'll no longer have ability to say whatever they want without consequences... No more random death threats to people at least :rip:

Banks and Investment funds invest in everything and there is nothing to suggest that Musk is any better. He isn't doing this because he wants to make the world a better place, he's doing it to control a large section of social media.

Y'all gonna be in a rude awakening when homophobic slurs fill your mentions.:skull:

No marginalized person with common sense think there is even such a think as 'free speech' since unfiltered bigoted speech has a silencing effect on those it seeks to dehumanize.

Wouldn't the board have some say in what he does? This is terrible. Worse than Zuckerberg

I’m interested in what his definition or intent behind “free speech” is, because I have a feeling this is gonna get to a 4chan brand of ugly.

Especially now that his racism has been verified.

Best to use your imagination from now on

Social media should be limited more, it is causing unnecessary tension and hate among people. This guy has sinister plans :giraffe:

COVID misinformation would be one example of the sort of free speech he wants.
