Argent Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 (edited) this album is so strong, definitely an AOTY contender for me. shatter especially is one of my fave songs released this year, obsessed with how feral it sounds. overall really impressive! very excited to see her live in november. ryoncé Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 BIG BIG BIG BIG step down from her first album sad
Ice Cream Skies Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Surprised to see this is at 80 on Metacritic
drip drop Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 want want - anywhere with you - shatter - god tier horses - good tiers others are meh
Ice Cream Skies Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 This album really falls off at the end. I've Got a Friend is dumb, Honey's kind of annoying, and Different Kind of World is corny. Thank God for Symphony. It's a shame, though, because she has 9 really good songs here.

On The Bound Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 the album is amazing, she did that only skip is i've got a friend different kind of world deserves more love, hte ha impact symphony is also her best song tbh
Protocol Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 It's definitely a lot more straightforward than her debut, but it's still great. She's a fantastic songwriter and singer. In a way this is like a P!nk album if P!nk had better taste and was more of an artiste.

I think I'm just annoyed by Maggie yelling "I'VE GOT A FRIEND" 100x by the end of the previous song, and her annoying lady friend talking in the last ten seconds... so it sours Honey a bit
as926 Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 I’m really digging this. The singles are great, but I’m in love with “Shatter,” “Symphony,” and “Overdrive” too.
AM98GJ Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Literally impossible to judge an album based on atrl comments Bey took my attention this weekend, but excited to give this a go!

TWIA is still that song though. Want Want’s chorus lyrics really brings it down a lot. Same. The first single had me a little hyped, but it was a bit of a snooze. I’ll give it two more listens though to see if my mind changes.
DancingShoes Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 The last 4 songs do absolutely nothing for me but I like-love the rest of them.
sweetkiss Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 im not familiar with her debut so this is my first time listening to her. on honey i realized i dont like her voice too much. i like what seems to be the singles? horses, want want, thats where i am with addition of anywhere with you and symphony. her wiki claims shes singer song writer, im not really impressed with either (her singing nor her song writing) both seems average to me with rare moment when i just thought 'that was nice'. i think thats where i am is the best because message is so clear and has unique and interesting production.
K$Ellie Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 is she for real with the vocals on Horses, the belting is unbearable this is as hit or miss as her debut but lacks standouts like Alaska, Say It, Fallingwater etc.
bonkbanisters Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 The first half is just amazing, several great songs on the second half as well!! IMO this is a great follow-up to HIIAPL
usedtothis Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 didn’t chart in the top 10 didn’t really expect it to do all that well but with HIIAPL peaking at #2, 4 months worth of pre orders, and 5 vinyl variants…
SimpleKindofLife Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 I’m pissed that it took her 3 years just to release this she needs to go on another Alaskan hike clearly
Ichinaru19 Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 I've Got a Friend being an underrated gem of the album
On The Bound Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 symphony is soooooo good her best song this album washes her (extremelyr overrated) debut
