this album is so strong, definitely an AOTY contender for me. shatter especially is one of my fave songs released this year, obsessed with how feral it sounds. overall really impressive! very excited to see her live in november.

Surprised to see this is at 80 on Metacritic

want want - anywhere with you - shatter - god tier

This album really falls off at the end. I've Got a Friend is dumb, Honey's kind of annoying, and Different Kind of World is corny.

Thank God for Symphony. It's a shame, though, because she has 9 really good songs here.

The Symphony and Honey stanning :clap3:

It's definitely a lot more straightforward than her debut, but it's still great. She's a fantastic songwriter and singer.

In a way this is like a P!nk album if P!nk had better taste and was more of an artiste.

She's not bad... I think I'm just annoyed by Maggie yelling "I'VE GOT A FRIEND" 100x by the end of the previous song, and her annoying lady friend talking in the last ten seconds... so it sours Honey a bit

I’m really digging this. The singles are great, but I’m in love with “Shatter,” “Symphony,” and “Overdrive” too.

Literally impossible to judge an album based on atrl comments :eli:

Bey took my attention this weekend, but excited to give this a go!

don't let this badly recorded poo-poo mess with your impression of the other good songs! just delete Tracks 9 & 12 from your library, hun

This album is really boring compared to her earlier work, even the archived recordings. TWIA is still that song though. Want Want’s chorus lyrics really brings it down a lot.

Same. The first single had me a little hyped, but it was a bit of a snooze. I’ll give it two more listens though to see if my mind changes.

The last 4 songs do absolutely nothing for me but I like-love the rest of them.

im not familiar with her debut so this is my first time listening to her.

on honey i realized i dont like her voice too much. i like what seems to be the singles? horses, want want, thats where i am with addition of anywhere with you and symphony.

her wiki claims shes singer song writer, im not really impressed with either (her singing nor her song writing)

both seems average to me with rare moment when i just thought 'that was nice'.

i think thats where i am is the best because message is so clear and has unique and interesting production.

is she for real with the vocals on Horses, the belting is unbearable

this is as hit or miss as her debut but lacks standouts like Alaska, Say It, Fallingwater etc.

The first half is just amazing, several great songs on the second half as well!! IMO this is a great follow-up to HIIAPL

Posted

didn’t chart in the top 10 :rip: didn’t really expect it to do all that well but with HIIAPL peaking at #2, 4 months worth of pre orders, and 5 vinyl variants…

Posted

I’m pissed that it took her 3 years just to release this:rip: she needs to go on another Alaskan hike clearly

I've Got a Friend being an underrated gem of the album :clap3:

symphony is soooooo good
