zasderfght Posted July 10, 2023 Share Posted July 10, 2023 I recently saw Renfield and Ghosted on streaming. Renfield was okay for a one-time watch; Ghosted-- I wish I never bothered with. I also streamed Terrifier 2-- now that's a great horror that does what it promises! FX just can be dodgy as well as acting (as times) probably due to a minimal budget. Loved the use of the Insta filter aesthetic, and the Stefani interlude was hilarious. Ex Machina - 8.5 Spoiler That ending... holy ****. Throughout the movie, I kept expecting some big Nathan-related plot twist, while ignoring the obvious manipulation that was hapenning. It's interesting that AI, in this movie, isn't portrayed as some omnipotent being who will take over humankind. She is what she learns and does everything in her power for self-preservation. Loved every second of it and I'm definitely gonna be rewatching it in the future! Queen Anne Hathaway mothered as always Her chemistry with the main character was amazing!
