What make me doubt about a full album with 2020 release schedule is Jisoo solo. Her solo need to be released before or around Blackpink tour. It's possible they do like in 2018 with Square Up+ Jennie solo...also they didn't tour for The Album because of covid so a mini album would still let them the possibility of singing most of The Album songs during The Tour. But anyway let's see...

Same, these songs are like easy to listen but they are also often too safe and too not memorable, but I think people will have a low bar for her.

Global stats are useless to me unless you’re ACTUALLY slaying e.g. BTS after they started actually charting Top 10 etc. on the Hot 100 and getting songs over 1B streams on Spotify etc. 

 

Like I personally don’t even find BP’s US accomplishments anything to brag about. Their charting would be considered a huge flop for any US artist showing they’re not actually that big here. But they do slay WW and have songs over 500M on Spotify. 
 

It’s just weird how this thread consistently belittles  Aespa for slaying in Korea harder than they do WW but it’s not like there’s any group other than BP who honestly blow them out of the water. BP are the only female Kpop group who can actually chart high on global Spotify. 
 

Call IVE a global group when they can actually chart Top 5 in global Spotify. Until then they’re not nearly as global as y’all are trying to paint them (while belittling Aespa).

Aespa will always have NL over the girls this gen. Nobody is clearing it they did THAT, we all know. But allow the other girls to do their thing like? BP and BTS weren’t making actual noise globally until 2018. You need to understand that with Kpop becoming more global there will be different meters to global power among groups with those two at the top and others below. 
 

Honestly if you’re getting hits in SEA and managing to make a lil dent in the Western music sphere that’s considered global for a Kpop group. At the end of the day top 10 on BB Global 200 excluding the US is not an easy feat.

I’m really hoping that they can get 700k. Their Gaon to Hanteo ratio is quite small since they don’t get US distribution like other groups but it would be so nice to see that. We’ll find out in a. few weeks

Yeah their gaps are always smaller between Gaon and Hanteo, but I actually prefer that because it's clearer how many sales have actually been authenticated.

 

I'm expecting 650k on Gaon but we will see. They have exceeded all my expectations already with this comeback. Anything more is a bonus
