But I think there's other ways she can reset people's expectations so that they don't go into a frenzy every time she releases a single and then doesn't follow it up with album news. I know Rihanna's a bad comparator because of how much success Rihanna had beforehand, but Rihanna's current approach of basically being like "the music will come when I feel like it, stop asking every day" is the type of thing I'm thinking of. Her fans used to jump on her for not releasing R9, but now I feel like they've accepted she's mostly a general celebrity and business mogul for now and maybe music will come at some point. With the way things are going, and there is a MV being shot atm, August with a VMA looks promising. But... let's not put ourselves to expect that we been through enough

None of these labels are trying to set up their artists with the slightest opportunity of being overshadowed. Whether you're established, a new artist, signed to her own label, or in a completely different genre, none of the girls are exempt. Hide contents So see y'all during Fall lmao

Punch (the head of the label) is notoriously messy behind the scenes. And, no shade, but SZA is known to delay and lie about release dates too ??♂️

All these pushbacks will just make Fall more crowded and lead to Miss Thing pushing this debut album (if it exists) back further

Kendrick Lamar is a labelmate and it’s probably (partly) why Doechii snagged SZA on the Persuasive remix that’s out tonight.
