I wonder what a visual for Dealer would have looked like

The fact that her albums keep rising and she's at her least active ever in her career is just...whew

I bet she didn't expect the hate-train over Born to Die to eventually subside over the years and she'd become the revered singer-songwriter she is today :weeps:

I would've liked a pseudo-live performance video with Miles like she did with Arcadia and LMLYLAW

But when it comes to monthly listeners, she doesn't make the top 100

Monthly listeners is just fleeting stats driven by playlisting, the Top Global Artists takes into account total streams. People are streaming her albums over and over and she's not even a MPG.

If it ain't Top10, issa flop. Homegirl will make another alboom withe the same uninspired production like BB and a leadsingle that is 5 or 6 minutes long and bomb into oblivion again.

We want a short, catchy bop like AIW

Not you switching again on BB :gaycat6:

It's different this time. Ben and Ed told her to play the pop game again to keep Tap Music's lights on, so she's throwing some of Jack's bombastic production in. Stargirl (Full) dropping later this year!

I want a rapper to feature on the lead, so that she gets played on Urban. What's DaBaby upto these days?

Spotify numbers are absolutely insane

Idk what the hell is going on with her streaming numbers. It's honestly amazing.  She shouldn't wait too long before dropping new music and really create some hype around it.

I think "Lana nostalgia" is finally settling in with casual listeners/old fans + TikTok, as well as the fact it's summer. She's the queen of summer

21 and Born to Die are THE defining albums of 2010s. BTD's longevity proves that there was a glitch in Lana's career and peak. It would reach a Teenage Dream or Loud type of dominance but it did not.

Maybe because it should have been her second album? I

She should serve a full-on blonde era. I know she doesn't want to look like her mom, but still.

I would love a platinium blonde obsessed maniac look. :jonny5:

It didn't reach the dominance that those albums had on release but it became the greatest slow burner of our time. Those albums dropped off after a few years while Lana's has overtaken them in daily album streams and even pure sales currently. I believe this is what success looks like when you do something different than the trends of the time and it ends up becoming a timeless record. It's even more impressive when you realize the only song that became a hit at all in the US was a remix that doesn't even count in total album units.

Her Youtube channel just hit 12 million subscribers, impressive how she continues to steadily gain there even though videos peaked years ago and she hasn't had a hit song in years.

Summertime Sadness got added to a bunch of viral Spotify playlists this week, including this teen beats one:

I think the 2011 competition, especially with Adele is a bit too much  but for 2012 idea how many female albums have moved more units than BTD?
