Like I said before, Chromatica is a good album, I can put it on and enjoy most of the songs but there are several times the production held a track back from it's full potential or something got changed to a dance number for no reason like 1000 Doves. Gaga was not as involved in the studio process and you can really hear that. TCB is the true vision of Chromatica that represents her struggle to find her inspiration again and both Gaga and Michael have talked about how crucial that tour was for bringing her back to where she is today

LG7 might never have happened without TCB and for that reason it will always hold a special place in my heart as one of her most important tours

Chromatica is not a good album. I am rooting for Gaga and respect her but let's be real. That album came and went and it has abysmal recurrent streams. That album is a generic, "Ava Max" type of pop-dance. You will never convince me that the

woman the woman who's written the legendary pop classics like Just Dance, Poker Face, Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Telephone, Alejandro, Born This Way The Edge of Glory and Judas is now making the generic and borderline annoying pop songs like Perfect Illusion, Stupid Love, 911, Plastic Doll, Sour Candy and Replay.

Two things can be true.

I wouldn't put Chromatica in the Ava Max camp. Yes the production can come off as faceless on some songs but at least Gaga offered powerhouse vocals & straightforward but honest lyrics. It's a cohesive effort and brings more to the table than Joanne imo.

Now I do agree that it lacks the same firey and rebellious spirit that made Born This Way and even ARTPOP good. LG7 should have more of a creative edge and take more risks, and I'm optimistic seeing that Gaga seems to be much more invested in this creative process than Chromatica.

Abracadabra snippet sounds so fun, Gaga is an expert at stutterering words with a melody

I'd say it's better than ARTPOP and Joanne as an album and more listenable but everything else @Pop Fansaid is true. It is indeed generic house pop production wise

Love this shot so much. She's looking in the mirror which can be a metaphor for self-reflection but her reflection is looking straight at us, the audience, like she's ready to face them again. It's brilliant.

Huge props to the photographer, Ethan James Green.

With the rumors of her sphere residency, could that be the special project??

She did say she wrote music for that special project, so whatever it is, it should be more exciting than a new Vegas residency :thing:

You are massively overstating all this. Take songs like Babylon or 911 for example, who else besides Gaga in mainstream music would release stuff like this? A "generic" Gaga pop album is still going to be pretty different than what other women are doing in the mainstream. I honestly think you need to clean your ears out and listen to this album again. The album could have used a bit more sonic variety on some tracks but overall it's good and received good reviews

It's a whole not of nothing she contradicts herself the entire time :rip: She's acting like Batman doing 750M was horrible and she's agreeing with people that are saying it's going to do 500M get this lady off my screen :rip:

The way DWAS and the LG7 snippets (Notorious Being, Abracadabra, Garden of Eden, and Dance in the Shadow) all range from excellent to God-tier :jonny5: oh mid-2020s Gaga the LEGEND that you are :gaygacat4:

I think JFAD will do fine in terms of Gaga's acting career. And there's too much early speculation based on so little, the first week numbers and GP's reaction will tell everything.

She did the same with Gucci
She saw it said it was bad and would never make Oscar's based on the 'talk in Hollywood'
then said Gaga was amazing the snub was unexpected and unexplainable

Spoiler

I want it to do well I can clock these sneaky BritneyDonna stans masquerading as fad stans we suddenly hit in here since 'Smile' smashed

Imagine someone calling 911 generic when it's one of her most left-field songs to get a music video :deadbanana:

That song is US local, so not a global threat either, DITF could be one day.

Another day at #1 despite the Dancing in the Shadows release, a certain song by a certain artist that might do less than Judas... Oh this Spotify update is for the history books
