FrederickGa Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Gaga radio poison confirmedt? I guess it's Interflop with the "Nope, we aint paying for radio" attitude.. they're just letting it run its course hoping that maybe it'll blow up radio-wise cause it's still smashing without radio anyway
Popular Post Bribe Posted September 10 Popular Post Posted September 10 JFAD actually selling well? I'm glad I never said anything bad about Todd! 26

It was a slow burn. Yeah. I don't see DWAS peaking on radio until November sometime and people don't want that conversation yet as it'll clash with LG7 lead.
Konril Posted September 10 Posted September 10 And what if DWAS never leaves the Hot 100 Top 10 because radio finally embraces it, then what? 2

Sannie Posted September 10 Posted September 10 IIRC, radio even refused to play Shallow after all of its success. She is simply too avant garde for radio. 2

kwek_kwek Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Just now, Sannie said: IIRC, radio even refused to play Shallow after all of its success. She is simply too avant garde for radio. It's just had a second wind because of the Oscar win. It went Top 10 on radio, iirc. 1

nick4bty Posted September 10 Posted September 10 I still think DWAS will do well on radio, but with these callouts, it's definitely going to be a slow burn through September. It probably won't peak until November tbh. i think callouts will continue improving, but look at Good Luck Babe and BOAF… mid callouts, not improving, and still in the top 3 at pop and growing. Callouts aren't everything anymore, esp since they're so biased against female artists (who aren't Sabrina Carpenter) 2

And both films have gotten better reception from European critics than American. It's always been weirdly strong overseas and my theory has been that even if the sequel has a big dip in America, international markets should still be good for the film and carry it overall. 1
kwek_kwek Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Are rock songs huge in Europe? Linkin Park's new song is slaying in Europe. It's doing 1m streams in Germany.
