I mean... This is a HUGE opportunity and a gift for us. We didn't know she would be singing until a week ago. I think we should be excited and grateful just because she's appearing, not creating fantasies and huge expectations of a Gaga show with a setlist, choreo and outfits. Just enjoy a goddamn thing for once lol

I'm just happy she is outside of the USA and interacting with fans. She seems very happy and relaxed, we haven't seen her like that for years. I hope she remembers the huge international audience she has that will appreciate her so much for even the smallest shred of attention.

No one really knows ****. Not yall acting like you work at high positions at the Olympics to really know about things and how they negotiated and everything. No one of us knows how many % she has the right to do with her performance. It may just be true that the Olympics executives asked for her opinion/idea on what she wants to perform? She is a respected artist. She is not Lil Nas X or Demi Lovato.  I mean they invited her and CELINE DION for a reason. Gaga performed for the US President, she performed at the Inauguration. 

No one's saying she doesn't have a word to say, of course she's allowed to suggest things. But the ultimate decision will always be Jolly's, and Gaga's presence has to make sense in a show celebrating French culture & history. Could have been different had we talked closing though

I totally agree. She should be doing more and lacks iconic performances this decade so far.

And she's obviously capable. Americano at the jazz show was so inspired and it's still going viral on tiktok to this day despite the residency being over. She needs to wake up and realize the public actually loves her catalogue - it feels like self-loathing at this point. 

Here's hoping that she serves something more interesting than a gown and a piano. I don't care how many billions are watching, it's getting boring and lowkey creatively lazy.

and she was wearing a hoodie and a cap a few weeks ago and we all thought she dyed her hair. She usually dresses this way now days

I don't really get the complaints about her probably singing jazz or whatever, it's the Olympics opening ceremony, they will have invited her to do a specific kind of performance. Yes, she's a huge artist who will have an element of creative control, but there's zero percent chance they would allow her to do a random medley of her hits or a new lead that nobody has ever heard with the theatrics of 2010's Gaga since that would not be fitting with the ceremony at all

 

I agree everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but complaining about her performing after waiting so long for a performance is... kinda tiresome, especially when we know a new pop era is coming soon. At this point, if her performing jazz is really a massive problem then maybe you just don't stan the artist she is today or at least that side of her artistry because it's never going away.

And just one more thing, while she might gain some recognition by the 60 year olds or whatever when it comes to her music career that's irrelevant. They might go see her in concert but they're not buying LG7. The youth adores Gaga but each boring gown piano performance just reminds them that she's a far cry from the iconic artist who bled on stage. Not saying she has to repeat herself but the public craves something more. Otherwise they'll just keep straying towards the Chappels of the world. Love her but she needs to get it together.

Do we know that though? And the problem is not just this isolated incident - nowadays it seems like it's the only thing she's able to do.
