Someone didn't watch Chromatica Ball it seems. That's the perfect classy Gaga and ambitious approach combined. Or Jazz shows where she performs pop tracks with jazz touch and wild outfit.

I guess, yeah.

I love her to death, anyways. It's just a thing that kinda bothers a portion of the fanbase.

Yeah, I understand, but we can recognize as fans that phase of her career and those performances were absolutely necessary. If it wasn't for that, we wouldn't even be discussing the optics of an Olympics' performance in 2024. We know that being a classy/jazzy/hac act saved her and, because of that, she then tried to please her fanbase with Chromatica because that's what we demanded from her. A wilder side again.

The thing is that at this point she should be able to combine both things and be her usual classy persona with a bigger/more ambitious approach, but she refuses.

Maybe we're wrong and she'll surprise us this weekend, but I seriously doubt that. I'm still excited tho.

I 100% agree! Jazz saved her career, and we must be thankful to Tony until the end of time because without him, I really doubt Gaga's career would have survived after ARTPOP.

I don't have a problem with her doing jazz/hac/whatever, as you said the thing that I find sad (and it's subjective) is that she's perfectly capable of being iconic and leave the world (and most importantly ME :gaycat5:) speechless the way she used to, combining all of her talents but she just... doesn't wanna do that?

I understand that this is a special occasion, and it's great to do a duet with Celine. However, I'm not as excited as others seem to be only because, other than the 19 dates of the Chromatica Ball, she's been doing only jazz and classy performances for years. YEARS.

I know what to expect; I know she will sing flawlessly, I know she will play the piano like an angel, but that's it... How many times do I have to praise how good she can do those things? I remember how people complimented her saying she was a chameleon, multi-talented, and versatile. I only wish she could show how versatile she could still be. :weeps:

Not to brag but I pity other stan bases this week.

Not many stans get to witness their faves perform in an event 36x larger than the Superbowl halftime show.

What time is the ceremony (France time) and how long will it last? I'm gonna cry if it is truly 4 hours and we don't know when/if  Gaga shows up.

Spanish public channel will start broadcasting it at 18.30. Idek. It will be very long, but all Olympics opening ceremonies are beautiful and this one seems to be extra beautiful and stunning, plus other singers will sing like Ariana and Aya. It's gonna be good, I recommend you to see it in full

P.S.: Gaga probably going to film her performance? Or late rehearsals since I guess they would want the performance to be at night and look prettier. Also it's 29 degrees in Paris, why is she wearing a quilted hoodie?

Not some of you acting like she had any decision on what to sing or how the performance is...

Okay it wasn't a quilted hoodie, but even worse: a hoodie and a leather jacket.

Idk why you got downvotes for this lmao you said nothing wrong.

I mean... Chromatica is mostly known by fans. Most (like maybe 98-99%) of the GP (especially the MEGA amount of people who watch the Olympic ceremony) haven't watched Chromatica Ball. Many of them have forgotten how theatric she can be. Last time it was at the Superbowl.

You said nothing wrong.

This base is looking like the 52nd failed countdown to LG7 just happened :deadbanana2:

We're about to witness Gaga's most watched performance ever during an event in which she's supossedly the only non-French-speaking singer because TRICON tingz. A whole 4-hours-long show celebrating French culture & history that took several YEARS to organise. She's definitely not choosing what she's allowed to perform. You'll blame her for her artistic choices when HER next show/performance happens

It's the olympics, she got no say in it. Some of yall forgot that jazz is part of her brand now. Not only her theatrics

I'm used to being downvoted just for expressing my opinion. This base is starting to look more and more like GagaDaily, where you have to fall in line or you're a traitor.:rip:

It's for sure going to be long. The BBC is starting the airing for it at 5:45pm (we're an hour behind France so that's 45 minutes before it kicks off) and then it finishes at 10pm. So 3 and a half hours? Although it will more than likely finish before then but they'll have presenters at the end debriefing since the BBC tends to do that.

That are all just speculations.

No one really knows ****. Not yall acting like you work at high positions at the Olympics to really know about things and how they negotiated and everything. No one of us knows how many % she has the right to do with her performance. It may just be true that the Olympics executives asked for her opinion/idea on what she wants to perform? She is a respected artist. She is not Lil Nas X or Demi Lovato.  I mean they invited her and CELINE DION for a reason. Gaga performed for the US President, she performed at the Inauguration.

I hate the Reaction system, it actually encourages people to cyberbully tbh.

It's so unrealistic to expect her to sing or debut her lead there, I dont get why y'all are complaining. And the complaints… girls, she has still yet to release and execute LG7.  Reserve that energy for that (in the event she fails to meet your expectations), not for her Olympics performance, or at least… wait to see it first.

I'm just happy knowing that she will actually perform tomorrow, when we had thought a few days ago that that this was all fake news…

"Let's do a Gaga's pop concert in middle of the opening ceremony where it celebrates/showing off french culture in general and nothing odd for non-french singer to perform there in the first place"

I guess that's fine :giraffe:
