Personally, I'm going into JFAD awards season with a carefree attitude. She already has an Oscar so the pressure isn't there. Yeah, it'd be nice for her to win an acting Oscar but she ALREADY has an Oscar.

 

I'm more invested in her winning a SAG.

She needs a best actress Oscar. That’s the most important award for her to receive now. 
 

Especially with Billie about to win her second best song Oscar. 
 

An acting Oscar is way more prestigious than a best song Oscar. But since Shallow was so massive, it was a very meaningful award

She doesn't really need it for the EGOT game, and has a whole acting career ahead of her with opportunities to go for Best Actress.

 

And Billie or whoever winning more Oscars is arbitrary and has nothing to do with her.

EGOTs are irrelevant. 
 

Gaga’s acting career is red hot right now. She has the momentum to get nominated and win. Yes, maybe 20 years later from now she might have another chance, but she needs to snatch this opportunity

 

Regardless of awards, JFAD will probably be the biggest acting role of her career

EGOTs are not irrelevant.

 

Only 18 people in entertainment history have won EGOTs competitively, 24 if you count 6 who have received it with honorary awards. It's an incredibly rare accomplishment and Gaga has the talent and range to join that very exclusive group.

 

JFAD is going to be huge for her but as far as we know, she may have similarly exciting and huge roles lined up in the future. She's done her part with filming now wrapped up, so all we can hope for is that reception of the movie turns out good.

I just realized if she does release LG7 in 2024 it'll be ANOTHER release during an election year for the US.   2016-2020-2024. Her last contract renewal must have been some type of every 4 years thing in the fine print

Yup. Having two movie stars with good box office pull starring in the sequel to a $1 billion movie that isn't looking like just a CBM rehash and is actually taking risks is setting things up nicely. As long as the movie is good, I think this really has the potential to be a moment. She was very smart to sign onto this.

I was referring to Bloody Mary. The fact that it charted on the BB100 YEC, has established itself as a Halloween staple, got to top 10 on pop radio, and now has over 400 million Spotify streams didn't seem in the realm of possibility a last October. But HML is getting new daily Spotify peaks, Judas is staying consistent, and Bloody Mary still has Wednesday Season 2 to potentially give it another boost, so anything's possible.

It depends from the case, if you're an EGOT like Viola Davis who won every award in relevant categories and for her individual performance, it is definitely relevant and impressive, but for example Jennifer Hudson who won an irrelevant Emmy for producing something shared with 50 people, same for the Tony, then it's less impressive.

 

For sure I would prefer her to win a Best Actress leading Oscar than achieving an EGOT for producing like Hudson for example.

Aside from the Billie part, lowkey agree, she's the only popstar who can achieve that achievement and she has been working hard since years, however it is not easy, another acting nomination would still be a win.

 

It's gonna be exciting living the JFAD era.

Blonde for sure. I have TFM & The Fame separated in my library and use the blonde one even though the black one is "correct"
