I’ve been listening to Artpop a lot these past few weeks and Venus is still that song all these years later it’s so disjointed and shouldn’t work in theory but it ultimately sounds like a otherworldly song, especially with that chorus/post chorus. It definitely would’ve flopped as a single, but it serves its purpose as a fan fav

but I'd love to hear why you think Hey Girl is in any way political?  It's about having female friends (a recurring theme in Joanne actually)

Women lifting each other up. It is sort of a political statement in our world because everyone is constantly pitting women against each other. It’s more of a preachy song like Come To Mama and Angel Down

But I would agree that Hey Girl fits in more than the other two songs I mentioned
