It's not the same with ARTPOP and you know that. As she said, multiple times, an ACT II was supposed to be released. So expecting a few tracks (like 3/4) for a 10th anniversary deluxe edition is actually quite logical? Of course a whole ACT II would never be released in 2023, but adding Brooklyn Nights, Temple and Tea and one remix to the album would've be more than enough. 

 

But instead we got ugly, cheap and overpriced merchandise  so much for music not the bling. This anniversary was handled in the worst way by her team, at least we got some leaks I guess.

Brooklyn Nights, Temple and Nothing On were all considered to be on the album, as we saw with the leaked documents, that means these songs were done. And TEA, well, it's easy to guess, it was the song they teased the most before the album release... but I just used these three as examples.

It's very nostalgic to listen to the album and remember everything that happened during that era, seeing the love fans have for the album is really emotional, as a base, we really were in a hard time, and we know Gaga was in a very tumultuous time too, at the end, we really could belong together and ARTPOP really could mean anything.

Where are the leaked documents? I only saw some audios, the original cover (love it) and the Inez and Vinoodh photoshoot. I'd love to see some Patrick Demarchelier or Ruth Hogben.

girl the idea of artpop act ii songs being released died almost a decade ago, it's never going to happen and was never going to happen for the anniversary. it's not gaga's fault y'all got your hopes up for nothing js

as I said, adding 3 songs for a deluxe would've been pretty cool and take 0 effort. There was literally no reason not to do that.

I don't get what you mean "there was no reason not to do that".... maybe she just doesn't want to release those songs. There was literally zero reason to believe it was going to happen so I don't get why it's annoying

well, she could simply have wanted to do something cute for the fans who have remained mobilized behind this project for a decade? And again, Temple and Brooklyn Nights were supposed to be released, it's not like she hated these songs, they almost made the album. So, yeah, there was no reason not to release at least these two.

But sis, that was a decade ago. Things change. Plans change. She was also going to release a mariachi version of Americano at one point, I don't think any of us are expecting that to drop someday now. She's clearly moved on from that era of her career and has no desire to release any of that music. It's sweet that fans have remained mobilised behind the project for a decade, but some of us have been trying to tell y'all that you were kidding yourselves believing that any of those songs were going to be released. There's no reason to be frustrated at Gaga for not releasing those songs when we had no reason to believe that would happen.

I firmly believe the reason why she doesn't want to do anything about ARTPOP is because it is legally tied to Troy and getting new songs out would require getting in contact with Atom Factory. Granted, it's not like she would be the one handling all that kind of stuff, but I can see why she doesn't even want to give it a thought.

 

The album, unfortunately, didn't bring her nothing good in life and considering it was completely absent from her last tour, I don't think she wants to face the trauma regarding the whole era.

This reminds me of the ARTPOP app countdown when fans wanted to believe something was coming, even though it was obvious the app is dead. Gaga even had to tweet something along the lines of "I wouldn't expect much" and yet the fans were still disappointed. It's a lose-lose situation for her.
