I also love her music with the legends and I am fairly sure I stream her music more that half of this base combined (but that’s because of streaming farms lol). The point is the fans, as a whole, not single persons like me or you, do not engage because she seems dettached from the persona she created back in 2008 and became boring for many of them. That’s all there is. You asked and I answered. Neither Beyonce nor Taylor shifted their careers in the way Gaga did. Oh well. You can’t win them all. 1
Sannie Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Still obsessing over streams this late into her career. Move on. This obsession with her commercial viability is what will hold her back from ever doing anything truly interesting or groundbreaking again. Her best bet would be to make a genuine album removed from commercial success. Taylor did this with Folklore and it is what blew her up to what she is today... so in an ironic way, not catering to commercial success can sometimes lead to it. 2 1

ARTPOP, Joanne and Chromatica overall streams being carried by a single song show how important it is to release more singles, even if they don't do extremely well. Before chromatica: joanne bad album so it has bad streams!! post chromatica: PopGa has bad streams apart from TFM so thats why Chroma has bad streams cause BTW had it too next up: Why nothing chroma (like joanne) will go viral

She had her peak years ago and she keeps releasing acclaimed music (minus ARTPOP and Joanne sadly) and she will keep doing that. We’re good.

But Black Lives Matter, but Covid, but lockdown… but but. Chroma flopped hard for the kind of success they tried to create for it. And the simple answer being: it wasn’t good enough for the GP. 1 1
Puttanesca Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Thought something interesting happened because of the new pages only for me to open this thread and see more liddo infighting. This base is in shambles 4

Gaga’s an industry vet with nothing left to prove. You can’t compare the two how can she be a industry vet with 9 years of career ? lmao that kind of delusion from her and LM makes me giggle every time... she need at leats 2 more successful albums and 3 more #1 and you all know this. Marry The Gods Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 streets are saying she scraped her glam rock magnum opus album she's been perfecting the past year and has decided to release a solo jazz album due to the overwhelming success of her jazz and piano shows 3

Gaga was 12 years into her career and had 4 huge eras under her belt by the time Chromatica dropped. She was def an industry vet at the time and these arbitrary standards are even more delusional.
MadMax12 Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 I think sadly since BTW, Gaga and her team focus more on securing a big debut week rather than making the album sell longterm. It’s frustrating, but hopefully they’ll realise they need to get out of this habit. It’s kind of embarrassing that one third of BTW’s overall pure sales come from its first week. Picking the right singles, and more than two is important. They seem to rely on one hit like Million Reasons, Applause, Shallow, Rain On Me and not bother to push another single.
JohnWayneHolland Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Gar needs to release at least 4 singles before dropping LG7 to ensure its daily streams don't plummet into oblivion

It’s really not a rocket science. This. Her fans largely couldn't care less about her AC stuff bar ASIB, nor is it what casuals go back to in her catalog bar ASIB (and MR to an extent). She has every right to release whatever she wants, including AC until the end of time, but that won't make it any less alienating to her core audience(s). fra Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Releasing jazz with Tony or a collab with Rolling Stones is certainly not for streaming but is a way to cement her in history. Everyone could have a random rapper/latin/whatever feat.

DonnieDarko Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 (edited) To say Chromatica did nothing for her overall. Lmaoooo. Another Grammy, critical acclaim, exciting collabs, amazing visuals, 2.5B streams. I would say it did pretty much to her career. Every single one of her albums is essential to her career. Yes, even ARTPOP. Let’s stay objective. Edited October 31, 2023 by DonnieDarko 4
