Bad Romance vs The Edge of Glory?

I really would have loved a video in this vibe directed by Klein.

She probably wants an EGOT eventually, but she is not in a rush for it.

The iron is hot right now for her to win Best Actress. She always wanted to be an actress, so this award would probably be extremely meaningful for her. If she doesn’t win it in the next 5 years, she will probably never win it.

She can get a random Emmy and Tony when ever she wants. The Emmys have so many random obscure categories that she could win at any time.

Broadway is struggling and will shower her in awards if she ever pays attention to them

It’s totally understandable that she is this focused on BA

Lop, Broadway is doing fine. Up until COVID they had been doing blockbuster business and are steadily recovering.

If anything, the Tonys are easily the most insular of the Big 4 (in reference to the EGOT) and have a long history of snubbing big stars if they don't undeniably deliver. Not that it's at all impossible for her to be accepted by the theatre world, and I think she easily would, but it could be like the Oscars where she has to prove herself before they give her a win.

Haven't we suffered enough?

All this proving, ass kissing and ***** bottoming for an award, taking away years of her career.

Praying that Glenn Close is not a contender next year :dancehall3:

We have Successica Lange (in the role that won her a Tony) to worry about :dancehall3:

unlikely, but she could always win by sneaking a producer credit like how JHUD did

Ngl I'd rather have her artisté thespian era in NYC with a bunch of candids and an awards campaign than an AC hag era with 2 videos followed by dead silence. I get what you mean tho

Tea, she could follow the Rupaul path in winning a Tony

She has two Oscars so I wouldn't be too worried, one is also considered weak, not totally worth if I'm not wrong, unless she's undeniable but this applies to every contender, whereas Glenn Close not having won yet still remains the biggest overdue narrative awards wise, especially after what happened last time.

Honestly I don't care much about the EGOT status, especially when there are people like Jennifer Hudson who achieved that with an Emmy shared with 50 people for producing, if Gaga will manage to win the best actress at the Oscar it will be enough for me at least awards wise, because it's not gonna be easy getting that achievement and it might even not happen at the end (see Bette Midler), so there's no point right now to aim for Tony or Emmy, especially when her movie career just basically started with just 2 movies, I don't really want her to chase also the others two, if they will happen eventually good otherwise no big deal.

Gár just needs a Tár esque role that‘d suit her & she’d easily be in the winning conversation, too bad Todd Fields makes films like once every decade

What she did in 2018 with ASIB added decades to her career and solidified her as a serious icon in the entertainment world. :rip: Everything she did leading up to that is why she was able to bypass the ARTPOP FLOP narrative, otherwise she would be judging a reality TV show competition and selling her catalog to pay her bills atm.

I'd love to see Gaga in a Jim Jarmusch movie with Tilda Swinton

Spoiler

Especially if they would be acting as a lesbian couple

If my memory recalls Blandsh*t still lost for that role. Perhaps she should work with Daniels who directed 3 winning performances in 1 movie :gaycat2:

lbr she only lost b/c of the historic narrative behind Yeoh’s campaign as well as the anomaly that was EEAAO which even carried Curtis to her win. any other recent years and Blanchett would’ve easily done a clean sweep

Well, if you watch EEAO and Tár it's clear which performance is deserving. Yeoh won because they wanted to give it to a POC.

Yeoh won because EEAO swept. Nothing could stop that movie and the hype around it

Between this and the CEO bootlicking in the strike threads, it's been bad for you.
