A Taylor collab would be cool and they both seem to like each other but they're also vastly different artists.

Though, 1989 is Taylor's "New York" record and Gaga is a NY girl. Something centered on New York could always work.

I don't mind Taylor but a "New York" theme collab between them would not work...like at all. If Gaga were to do a New York themed collab she would want to work with someone who actually grew up in New York. Taylor has an apartment in NYC and has a song titled Welcome To New York but a collab wouldn't work with someone who actually grew up in NYC like Gaga, Tony Bennett, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Barbra Streisand, Jay-Z, Cyndi Lauper, Carly Simon, Lauryn Hill, etc.

This is a fair point. Another area they both share commonality is media witch hunts at points in their careers. Maybe Gaga will actually end up on Reputation TV. :dies:

Insane :WAP:

5 years is a long time, it’s half a decade. 5 years ago Taylor had just joined Spotify and Dua released her debut album. Spotify has grown tremendously since then. Gaga’s numbers are okay, but not impressive. Hopefully that changes with LG7.

At least she has one of the biggest smashes ever on there with 2,2B streams. Queen. Thank you A Star Is Born

The thing is, Taylor is too calculated for her to play Applause before each of her shows for no reason. Especially if she’s teased collaborators on there before

Yeah, knowing how calculated and detailed Taylor is with her hints it's actually not that far fetched, especially for her to feature an iconic New Yorker artist on her "New York inspired album", but I guess we'll see. It would be a cute moment and give Gaga a nice streaming boost.

In reality she has no input in what plays before her show.

A Taylor/Gaga song is never happening any time soon. It just wouldn’t work. Gaga is a vocalist that always gives 110% vocally in every song. Taylor wouldn’t be able to keep up vocally

Taylor always picked her playlist herself

just like Gaga has something to say about what's playing before her show

Let's be honest I'm sure Gaga respects Taylor as an artist but realistically Gaga is not into Taylor's music nor do I think she would ever want to collaborate with her. The reason Ariana x Gaga collab worked so well was because Gaga and Ariana are both Italian who deliver great vocals. Bobby attending the eras tour means nothing. He also attended Bad Bunny, Cardi B and Dua Lipas shows too.

This. Wbk she liked the song since 2013 too and it makes sense for her to choose Applause as the last song on the pre-show playlist right before she goes on stage. There is no collab. 100% sure :skull:

Well commonly on tours it is often the same playlist before every show, it's not just the venue playing random songs. It suggests that it's been selected by the artist or their team. Gaga, Beyonce, Britney etc have done the same on their tours. And like has already been said, Taylor is known for dropping hints at her live shows about future releases, so I was just saying it's not that far fetched. Not saying that a collab is definitely happening, but I think it's a bit naive to categorically say it will "never" happen. Gaga has collaborated with several artists that we would have never expected beforehand, and if there is one thing about her that we've learned it's that she is unpredictable.

From what I understand from reading Swifties posts, Applause has been part of the playlist since the beginning of the tour, but she later added Fall Out Boy and Paramore (before they were announced for SNTV) and both played directly before Applause.

yes the collab probably ain't true, but people just saying NO! are just hilarious. Gaga and Taylor love and respect each other, and yes she loves Applause since 2013, but it's just funny how she chose to play it during that tour.

BlackPink is also on the playlist. Do they have Taylor collab coming?

Right? Gaga even talked about one of her friends hearing Taylor blasting Applause before a show during a Howard Stern interview. That’s the reason, not because they have a collab upcoming.

Girl I didn't say that Gaga has a Taylor collab coming :deadbanana2: I just said it's not that far fetched considering Taylor is known for dropping hints like that. The fact that Gaga is on the playlist is not the point, it's the sudden inclusion of the TV artists in the playlist just before her and the fact that her next album is her self-proclaimed "New York" themed album, and will definitely have new featured artists like all the previous TV's. Again, not saying it's happening just that it's not unthinkable and those kind of hints are exactly in Taylor's wheelhouse :rip:
