None of the methods listed in the article can be applied to BM unfortunately. Though the Grammy deadline is mid September and if she wants to do BM live at an early September Jazz & Piano show and submit that recording…

Yeah, I think $750M is the minimum. If it’s acclaimed or has a massive promo campaign it can be insane.

Joker made over 68.8% of its gross overseas and was acclaimed by Europeans with UK & France serving the Top 2 of its int gross, i'd expect similar returns for JFAD considering how popular Gár is in general w those particular countries

Some records which will be fun to see if FAD can beat, from most to least likely:

 

- Biggest October opening weekend (currently held by the first Joker with $96m; solid chance of this becoming the first October movie to open with $100m+).

 

- Biggest fall opening weekend (currently held by IT with $123m).

 

- Biggest opening weekend for an R movie (currently held by Deadpool’s $132m).

 

- Biggest opening weekend for a Warner Bros movie (currently held by Deathly Hallows Part 2 with $169m).

 

While we are still way too far out $100m - $120m OW range is what I’m thinking as of now; Joker as a character and Joaquin’s portrayal feels far too popular to open less than the original especially throwing Harley / Gaga and their controversial dynamic into the mix that is such an easy marketing strategy.

 

But as much as I would love to see FAD take Harry Potter’s 13 year record after Barbie came so close I think it’s asking for far too much of an increase to happen. Deadpool’s record feels like the stretch that could be managed if things blow up at the higher end depending on how the third movie opens next May.
