i mean some actresses receive their second BA nom ten years after their first (some even more)

it's not exactly an easy task

I mean, LEGENDS like Nicole Kidman have only 5 noms and 1 win. Glenn and Amy have never won. Jessica Chastain won last year after getting her last nom in 2013. It's not easy.

Reminder that High in the Clouds, that Paul McCartney animation, is probably being released on Netflix this year. Another nom incoming? :gaycat3:

It's already in post production according to IMDb and apparently slated for summer release this year.

They need to release it only on Netflix so she can easily snatch Original Song at Children’s Emmys

The fun fact is that this film shares a writer (Jon Croker) with an animated short film that just got an Oscar nom today. The short is called The Boy, the Mule, the Fox and the Horse. He adapted it from a book too.

I feel like it's been scheduled to be released every year since 2016 lol but I'm hoping it pulls through especially it means we get some type footage of Gaga recording the song wearing that long beautiful brown wig.

When the droplet we get this year is with Paul McCartney on a song from 2015 instead of a Bentio bop

It goes beyond a great performance, the narrative that the campaign can build, the other performances and narratives at play, the movie itself, it's all about hitting jackpot.

So no, it's not easy, unless you're a generational talent like Meryl, DDL or Cate.

I WON'T BE RIGHT WITHOUT YOU

AND I MIGHT BREAK WITHOUT YOU

I'D RATHER BE POOR AND HAPPY

THAN RICH AND ALONE

I'LL WRITE HIT SONGS ABOUT YOU

NO MATTER HOW WE'LL GET THROUGH

I'LL KEEP ON SINGING WHILE I'M LIVING

AND I WANNA BE IN LOVE AND I WANNA BE WITH YOU THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!

Judging by the frequent, still-reeling-from-the-HoG-snub posts, some of y'all ain't ready for her future acting projects and all the possible outcomes (wins, nominations, losses, snubs etc) ddd :dies:

That snub will always be painful for this fanbase in general, no matter what, and there's nothing wrong with that, it was for a bigger work and for a more prestigious category, it's fine to embrace also that sensation, but I'm sure that at least we're gonna always be prepared for the worst scenario from now on.

She's performing at the Oscars  There's no way she won't, so we won:jonny6:

I need her to perform as Harley, that would be such a moment :giraffe:

Some big actors have not even scored their first nomination yet, like for example Jim Carrey, Meg Ryan, Mia Farrow, Richard Gere, Hugh Grant, Emily Blunt..

Jamie Lee Curtis got nominated for the first time this year at 64.

Good luck with that.

Is this reply implying that you believe HMH has a high chance of being her 2nd Oscar win or is it you implying that her winning an Oscar in the actress category in the future is unlikely? :eli:

When Gaga becomes the new Diane Warren and starts getting nominated for every song she does.

So true.

It's both ridiculous and an honor that people put Gaga at a very high expectation of winning every Oscar nomination she was in when some of the most renowned actors/actresses never even earned a single nomination in their whole careers.

It's gonna take a very very bad film for Gaga's career to come crashing down but even then actors/actresses have a resurgence a DECADE after their long string of flops.

Let's just hope for the best that Gaga continues her streak of starring in good films and delivering a raved performance cuz I'm positive she will eventually get her Actress Oscar. I see her having a long and respected acting career. :clap3:

Don’t know why you think getting 2 of the biggest pop stars as performers is VMA quality. If this was the VMAs it would be Camila performing.

Also, I knew deep down that Pink My Stink would get nommed today, so no surprise there. Hope she loses cause it’s awful & we need her to win for BA. However I am hoping she tears down the Oscar roof again with another standing O performance.

Sorry ranting but the fact that Gaga’s the 2nd most nominated female artist OF ALL TIME at the Oscar’s is mind boggling. And the fact that she makes it look so easy while her peers desperately TRY and FAIL HARD to get a nom, nvm a win. Truly far from the Shallow now.

Also surpassing the LEGENDARY Judy Garland in the process.  Babs is next.

I mean Bad Bunny has literal performed at the last VMAs event.

However it's giving VMAs for the overall lack of stars between performers in general and weirdly the two main contenders for AOTY who happens to be also the more known popstars between the nominated ones in AOTY, oddly not attending.

Well let’s hope them missing the event loses them the award cos neither are deserving

OT: Hold my Oscars is good song someone needs to say it the rest of you can argue with a wall
