I don't think it deserves If it came down to quality/which songs *deserve* to be nominated then the category would barely have 2-3 songs per year lbr She already won with a 11/10 song, so this would be just another cute lil achievement for her. 4x Academy Award nominee instead of 3x.

No one cares about these prestige awards anymore these days. It was only exciting to us in the past cos Gar was competing.

Blade Runner Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 The Oscars are like the only awards left that have some sort of hype. And still ultra prestigious. This ain't the Grammys, b+tches.
DoctorIce Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Of course my lunch break would end now. Let me sort some quick 'system issues'.
Brishka Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 (edited) The Oscars were exciting for the gays last year because of how unpredictable the Best Actress race was. At first, it seemed like KStew was the frontrunner, but her campaign tanked after she was snubbed by the SAG. Then, Kidman emerged as the frontrunner, but she didn't make it to the BAFTA nomination list. Gaga briefly emerged as the frontrunner after her BAFTA nomination, but she didn't even get nominated (which was truly shocking, a massive L). The entire race was such a roller coaster. This year, it is obvious that queen Cate Blanchett is taking it. It's another "Blue Jasmine" situation when she swept absolutely everything in 2013. Edited January 24, 2023 by Brishka

But Dr. Michelle Yeoh is the one who actually deserves the award. Cate's Lydia is already so overrated. She was okay.
