AlGreRithm Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago all these likes. but we need the audience to stream disease 10 times 3
ROARyals Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Someone said they loved Disease up to distract from Joker 2 bc they knew it'd tank and that makes a lot of sense. Both Joanne and Chromatica were supposed to have like only 7 weeks lead time between lead and album release. Dropping in (late) Feb seems like they planned to do that, while releasing a song early Jan. Honestly Bravo bc Disease didn't feel like it was rushed out. The "delayed" vid was only a few days and we have no proof it was a delay - they could have just chose to space the hype out. Spoiler Well maybe you can attribute the lack of physicals and promo on TV as a pushed forwards rush release, but the vid ate and the team stayed united so I think we're probably getting a song/vid Jan 10th, then another one on album release day (Feb 28th I guess). That aligns with a promo run they're very familiar with

Dad Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago The thing i have realized about gaga releases is that in order for the singles to have chart success, there needs to be a narrative happening among the general public if it is to succeed. For example, Million Reasons hit #4 after she had the halftime show and she was being talked about everywhere , Shallow went number 1 after the oscars because of all the talk about how her and bradley were dating, Rain on me went number 1 after collabing with ariana and it being a huge pop moment, now DWAS is mega successfull because of it also being a huge pop moment when 2 superstars join forced. I fear her name alone with the music isn't enough for success. They should create another narrative for the next single, something that will get the gp talking, like a feud or a scandal. I have realized the formula is, Gaga Music + Public Narrative = Chart success 1
Ricardo1993 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Zombie Bride/Zombified is the most GP friendly snippet we have of LG7 along with Girlfriend. 5

Konril Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago The way DWAS was sandwiched in between Christmas songs being played when I went last minute Xmas grocery shopping. The fact it has this wintery vibes of spending with love ones on holidays is such a slay. 4
Colmillo Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Is this real? LG7 coming to be her first album to surpass 5M+ units since ARTPOP I think

I have realized the formula is, Gaga Music + Public Narrative = Chart success This is true to a lot of songs. Think of Flowers. It being an interpolated version of When I was your man becasue that was her ex's favorite song and dropping it on his birthday were all very intentional moves to create a narrative around the song so there is something to latch onto, discuss. Taylor Swift does this to mastery, just think of the narrative around her re-recordings, We are never ever getting back together, look what you made me do etc. In general yes it helps a lot with marketing when you can add a narrative thread to a single. 1
Baby Judas Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago A friend posted a myday of a group of kids under 5 years old singing DWAS at their Christmas Party, and the entire party singing along with the kids. Oh DWAS, the biggest song ever that you are!
Human Fly Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Well i hope she can score another Top10-Top5-Top3 or even #1 this era.

Another example is Kendrick's Not Like Us and the whole Drake feud, people like controversy and want to be entertained 1
Denim Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago As long as nothing big comes out of nowhere, it now looks pretty dang likely DWAS will spend all of January at #1… it's rising on radio and will continue as the Christmas freeze unthaws… streams are stronger than ever… and the competition isn't strong rn.
