makes me look at the whole current Britney situation

total whole in the Britney world ..... and OBHs still keep coming for her nn

As he said, it did its purpose ..and it has received lots of hate for the last years, but it was iconic for Stan Culture of old

it actually introduced me into stanning on the net :dies:

so yea.. RIP

What the hell?!

Honestly it's kinda sad the state of pop forums in general. Makes me wish I was more active on them when they were at their peak. Stan Twitter is not a very welcoming/pleasant place these days, you can't really build a sense of community there anymore at least from my experience.

Tbh forums aren't as relevant anymore

but I do think there are more people (at least on this one) than there used to be, going by stats?

Twitter is tricky, yea..

shes problematic but this will be interesting to listen to-not sure if this track was ever discussed. iirc her song Electricity was also an early 00s Britney demo

Britney is shortly brought up in an interview with Pharrell Williams, and I'm just learning she appears in his new movie.

Quote

Britney Spears appears in the film, and you worked together on hits like "I'm a Slave 4 U." Have you been in touch with Britney?

Man, I ain't spoke to Britney in maybe 10-plus years. I think I've seen her in the elevator one time. I think we were all going into the same place or something. I can remember exactly where it was, and she had her sunglasses on, and I was like, "I know that's Britney. Maybe she doesn't remember me. That's fine."

And wasn't Justin Timberlake the one who introduced …

Me to Britney. And Jay-Z introduced me to Justin. We were at this club in New York.

What do you remember about recording "I'm a Slave 4 U" with Britney?

She was eager and ready to transition. And I put a fire under that notion. I was like, "Oh, that's how you feeling? OK, let's put this fire under that. Let's go."

Now that we're in 2024, would you use that same title for a song?

Well, that's not a word to play with these days. And there's many different angles, right? Obviously, what my people and my DNA and my ancestors had to endure and overcome, but then there's also all the atrocity that happens in human trafficking every day. So, no, that's not something I would say. There are a lot of songs that, as the era changes from one day to the next, what was contextually acceptable at one time is no longer acceptable. But I think that's for the better.

I think there are a lot of songs where I wouldn't say half the things that I said before. As the time changes, so does mentality and hopefully it evolves to a better place. And it's not about being politically correct, it's about being universally aware.

The way Sabrina has been stanning her in the past

Tyla said she was one of her biggest idols

Billie tributed her multiple times

only Dua and Olivia haven't really been in on her (from the new girls)

Dua is deffo a fan and Olivia has also worn her Sexsi lewk

but that's all I think(?) (honestly surprising Billie has shouted her out more)

Dua has made statements supporting her. Olivia made statements supporting her during the Framing Britney era and pulled a BOMT look for one of her videos that year.

From the tiers have shown support and love and that doesn't include her era and the era behind her where gaga, rihanna, katy, kesha, Lorde (dancing to Circus as a teen) showed love.

2020s tier 1 Taylor, Miley, Ariana, Sabrina Carpenter, Cardi, Nicki, Doja, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Sza, Lana Del Ray,

2020s tier 2 Meg Thee Stallion,  Dua Lipa,  Charli XCX, Lizzo, H.E.R, Selena, Tate McRae, Chappell Roan

2020s tier 3 Latto, Tyla, Addison Rae

She has her generation late 90s/early 00s, the late 00s/early 10s, late 10s and the 2020s inspired and influenced by her.

Not.

In this industry, Mariah, Celine, Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna, Taylor, Gaga and a few others will always be begged to attend because they are legends.

For the VMAs and AMAs, Britney will be asked.

She won't do anything until the biopic. Ya'll didn't catch that tea in the daily mail article. She's in the early stages of thinking about the soundtrack.

Cade has been slowly working with her to close out her legacy properly.

For years, she wasn't going to write a book, ends up with a NYT best seller.

For years, she wasn't going to a biopic ended up chin checking Millie Bobby Brown as Britney felt it was too soon to do a biopic. Now she's doing it.

Since Cade messed up his reputation with some SA situation at work he knows Britney's full circle era is both of their final hurrah moment for the industry.

SHe's initially against it but then slowly becomes a part of the fold.

I'm sure the biopic won't be filmed until 2025

The debut might not rollout until 2026 or 2027. Likely 2026 with a biopic to boot.

From there, she'll run the final legacy act award run with VMAs (global icon award), AMA icon award, EMA award, possibly another BBMA milestone award, and a People's choice icon award.

If Cade is wise, he'll set it up leading up to the movie release in 2026 or 2027.
