Triton Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Her Best reviewed album, BMS going #1, over 300k in sales… it’s really exceeding all expectations. Anyone know what the WW predictions might be?
abeille Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 She will always be acclaimed no matter what. It's been W after W for us this era. To think less than 2 months ago this entire site was swearing up and down that she's over for good.

She'll just change spaz to snap, and spazzin' to snappin' I imagine they might have preemptively done this after the Lizzo thing but did not say anything about it until people called it out to avoid the Streissand effect

We know she is a perfectionist, that's why
Dreajae Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 This era is so damn chaotic. Diane saw that 93 Metacritic score and LOSSSST it. Keep in mind we have yet to see Bey step out for this era. We have NOTHING but a hit album that forces the GP to fight with themselves about actually liking it.
ShouldersSideways Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 I hate the Diane Warren thing. It's just so unnecessary to even say. This is going to be a thing that follows Bey her entire career, though, so we may as well get used to it. The fact of the matter is most people won't bother to put in the critical thinking over something like songwriting credits so 24 writers is always going to = 24 people sitting in a room writing a song. I mean, the barely noticeable samples used on Energy added like 6 people to the songwriting list alone
ShouldersSideways Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 she is a songwriting legend so idk why she's always so insecure
chaeyonce Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Friday at midnight the moment I heard I'm that girl, I collapsed. After all the noise around the leak, the OBHs stinking up social media, Variety being childish and CNN relying the info it was pretty emotionally draining but I knew It was worth it to wait for the official release to make my own mind about the record. I didn't trust the haters when BMS leaked a few hours before the drop and I was pleasantly surprised when I finally got to hear the song, I loved it and I knew that their word simply couldn't be trusted when the album also leaked. But aside from the pathetic attempts to control the narrative, I was so upset that a project Bey ha worked on so hard during lockdown and decided to share with us by ditching her surprise release formula and actually putting in the work to promote it was leaked like that a few days before release. It felt so unfair for fave and for the genuine fans. Fortunately The Hive remains one of the most loyal fanbase out there and the vast majority waited for the record's official release. What I heard at midnight that day was something so UNIQUE, I had felt crazy goosebumps with ST and Lemonade alike but the sheer quality of the production sent me into another universe, every track just flowed perfectly right after the other, I was transported onto the dance floor from the darkness of my room. Track after track I was amazed, more by some than the others but globally Renaissance just made me think this is the best she has ever sounded and this is probably the best album she has ever released. It was maybe premature to go crazy in the base and say "it's her best, it's her best" at that time but few days later and I still feel the same, I'm happy that I'm not alone and I'm more than ready for whatever else Beyoncé wants to show us next.
Virgos Groove Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 It's a shame most of ATRL got deleted because I really want to bump some threads from the Be Alive era
swissman Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 If the other acts are new music, and this album was rumoured to be house/dance and country music, I would assume the next is a country vibe, which is exciting if she is bringing the genre-bending and song-blending she's done on act i, but I wonder what act iii would be? I kinda need a rock album, but of course, with her own Beyoncé spin.
satellites.™ Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 This is the one because if you know this show and this scene specifically, ugh, it just HITS. https://twitter.com/VSecretions/status/1553734673947303936?s=20&t=JPhi71ErQ441pn5ovi4nkw
ShouldersSideways Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 It's crazy we haven't seen her a single time and it's release week Lemonade had the film and the tour launch. Renaissance: N/A
