Not even Beyoncé would go completely silent before an album drops. Her silence means something for sure. I'm back to thinking she will drop a film on the same day and it will be on Netflix. She probably made Netflix execs sign a NDA lol.

I don’t know she’s cutting it real close with the silence. Someone pointed out in the BMS thread all the other celebs that have videos and albums releasing within this week that will push their songs even further and the song seems to be slowing down on radio already.

It’s a gamble to wait to promote a single after 4 weeks of releasing it. :/ Also, in my opinion the smart thing would have been to have BMS visual be the promo for the “movie” album. Similar to how formation was released prior to lemonade. That added the extra hype.

Yall gotta remember the many people who dont even know what streaming is tbh. They have CARS and use CDs still, there is a base for that, trust me.

I myself will likely get a digital copy and a vinyl for showing off and not opening.

It's almost like the Trumpies silent demographic that came thru last minute. The aunty Hive with 2008 Toyota Siennas and CD players may come thru I fear. :WAP:

This is really sweet. The post is kinda hard to decipher tbh but after a few reads I'm taking it as Darlette went to Bey's house and met her family, too? She was there for lunch and dinner and didn't leave until midnight.

I know people like to pretend as if Bey is a snob who thinks she's better than everyone else now, but I really think she's been able to stay as humble as one can be after a billion dollars and worldwide fame.

She is not just silent about music but also this new Ivy Park drop. It's like a total checkout. That's why i think something must be coming that will tie both together. If not she maybe really is doing what she said on the song ''she just quit her job''.

If anyone is interested Tom Breihan, a journalist for Stereogum has been doing a Number Ones Column on their website for the last 4 years or so. For the column her writes up a review of every single song that has gone number one of the Billboard Hot 100. He also covers the video of the song as well and has been doing so since videos became standardized in the 1980's. He posts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Well girls, he's currently in 1999 and recently did Jennifer Lopez's "If You Had My Love", which he gave a 6. The single that took IYHML from #1 was DC's "Bills, Bills, Bills", which he will drop his review of on Wednesday.

It'll be Beyoncé's first official number one in the column and he'll definitely have quite an interesting write up considering how significant and definitive her career is. I'm guessing the song will wind up with a pretty high rating (he gave No Scrubs a 9/10 and rated 702's Where My Girls At? A 10/10 as it peaked the same weeks as IYHML).

If he drags the song, I'll post his Twitter for us to go in. I'm really excited to read his first Beyoncé write up though, I've been waiting for her since I started following the column in 2018. He better not f*ck this up for me.

Honestly I really did fall down a rabbit hole and read a lot of those earlier so now I'm looking forward to the Bills Bills Bills write up too @Planet Mars

Bills Bills Bills is the first song that REALLY got me into Bey. I had no idea what I was singing along to but I couldn't stop listening and I was obsessed with her. Simpler times :gaycat6:

I just got rejected by a boy I spent two weeks trying to court. After (what I thought) was flirting, I finally told him I liked him and he heart emoji’d my text and left me on read. :jonnycat:

After feeling the sting, i knew the next thing I had to do was come celebrate BMS with my sisters. Imma just dance through the pain y’all. This why this song exists.

You won't break my soul
I'm tellin' everybody, na, na

I know it stings right now. But the “what if” has been answered and I would always want that than not have it all. What you did not many would have the bravery for. And that is a win. No matter what happens. Just my two cents.

This is crazy because I literally messaged my ex just before confessing my feelings for him and telling him that I didn’t want to live with regrets and what ifs lol :skull:

He didn’t reply of course, but I kinda didn’t expect him to. It’s crazy how someone can go from being totally obsessed with you to being totally cold and distant. It’s like… who was the real you? Was it all a lie? :dancehall:

Same. Streaming rules are stupid. I downloaded BMS then someone told me that my plays don’t count cuz of it, then the bs with playlists, NO. My 30 year old ass has had enough. Physicals all day over here!:ihype:
