mariposa Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago I know someone already posted this but I've been listening to this all morning I'm team #AllCCHalftime but if she wants to open with this I won't be mad. Realistically, I expect a RWT type situation of 80/20 album v. catalog
Calypso Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Halftime is 9 minutes long. And we know she will have surprise guests...hmmm

And we know she will have surprise guests...hmmm this a) doesn't make sense as it's way too short, especially if guests are involved and b) that account constantly spreads any and every rumor they see, i'll believe it when i see it c) i looked up their "source" and they haven't said this anywhere Edited 17 hours ago by ScorpiosGroove

Draper. Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago 9 minutes sounds reliable. Usual halftime for SuperBowl is around 20-25 min and the performance is 12 min. If this one is 15 min, a 9 min performance will be it. 4

ScorpiosGroove Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago people posting the same things over and over in here, y'all are going round in circles, round in circles

I think people were equating the extension to an extension of the Super Bowl timing and expecting a 20 minute show, but we probably should have been thinking of a regular halftime extension. So maybe she will have about 12 minutes to perform. 9 sounds a bit short for her.
Lose My Breath Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago 9 minutes does seem short, especially with all of the attention they're giving it. I'm sure the budget isn't the same as the typical Superbowl show, but I assume that the production will be large since it's a Beyonce show

And to be fair, shes been hinting at Rock for a while. Im still team visuals or lead of Act 3 are happening, but I'm not gonna be disappointed if its "just" a great performance From my understanding, the only genres Amazon Italy announced were Dance and Country. They never said anything about Rock, Funk or the influence of Rock & Roll. Ppl latched on to Rock AND Rock & Roll because the article mentioned a three act trilogy celebrating black musical arts and culture, including many samples. Even when pointed out she's used certain songs, specifically "They Say I'm Different", it's still specifically tied to a BTS video to promote her cover story and whiskey, which was still furthering the promotion and aesthetics of "COWBOY CARTER". Using Betty Davis for a Halloween costume, be it photographed a good while before Halloween, is still low hanging fruit. And one could argue her saying "it's time for America to sing a new song" is blatantly her playing on the nose since she is a singer/songwriter at a voters rally for the American election, lol. Like, it doesn't mean anything, it's just a corny line. If I were going to attach its relevancy to a song or album, it would easily be "AMERIICAN REQUIEM. Not to say a 'Beyoncé' rock album is not happening, but how can we take these few crumbs of nothing seriously? These aren't things she hasn't done during other eras. 1

Well, she also did Prince and teased the new sound with her Instagram reels. All those crumbs don't point to act iii being rock by themselves, but they do when they're put together
Lose My Breath Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago There has definitely been some strong indications of a rock/blues inspired project though, since the very beginning when she announced new music in Vogue in 2022 The motorcycle pic in Vogue 2022 The grunge looks in CR Fashion Book Her Betty Davis motorcycle look Her multiple rock inspired looks on Instagram (remember her switch to her CC look with the platinum blonde?) Her sending Tom Morello's mom a Rennie vinyl with a special note (he's a big deal in the Alt community and was the guitarist of Rage Against The Machine - and black - I assume she may have worked with him?) Her sending Jack White a letter and flowers (did she work with him on ACT III? The Betty Black tour Her posting several blues tracks in her captions Shoutouts to Prince, Tracy Chapman, Rosetta Tharp during her iheartradio speech as innovators 3
