Using this "tactic" Coldplay opened with over 200k units in the UK a few weeks ago. I don't really think Bey/Parkwood/Columbia would go that route though.

youre not allowed to use that tactic in the USA anymore.

Not sure why you guys are now expecting GRAMMYs performance and more promo. This performance is exactly in line with her "I'm not performing unless I'm getting paid" mantra. The NFL and especially Netflix are desperate to turn the Christmas Day games into the 2nd most important TV event of the year (Super Bowl being #1). She was def paid big bucks for this.

bingo!

Ideally for me

Early Dec - Ren movie. Halftime at Xmas with act 3 and tour announced. You pre order act 3 for the tour presale.

Visuals would finally drop the weekend of the act 3 release, which would also push the tour.

You should have Yvette's salary

I thought you only weren't allowed to bundle an album with a tour ticket? Which makes sense because barely anyone redeems the digital sale anyway so it ends up being super fraudulent. I didn't think there was an issue with purchasing an album and getting sent a unique code to access a tour pre-sale.

If this is allowed she'll get so many sales

C'mon now this is well thought out strategy and logical plan that could guarantee great success. It will not happen.

Bey should go ahead and update her certifications to drown out the inevitable nonsense that is to follow this billboard list.

Yvette probably doesn't even have a salary, she probably gets paid hourly considering she's NEVER DOING HER JOB!!! :deadbanana2:

I was shocked when they did it for Renaissance release week. Chances are high we get an update next year for act III, if it's really gonna be the final act. I still have hope she's not done with reclaiming genres.

I love to drag her, but in a way, these very deliberate moves after that horrible October press wise (Diddy allegations, CC dropping out of Billboard) with the Kamala speech, the Halloween comeback, the teasing of act3, this current anouncement.

They masterfully shut down a LOT of negativity, and I do believe this is Yvettes work.

As much as I WANT this to happen, I actually don't see it happening (don't shoot me y'all lol)

Marketing 101 is keeping it simple and not trying to sell too much in one go.

As much the above would feed my inner stan, I think the safe bet is to direct the flow of post-performance buzz in one fixed direction e.g. tour dates, residency, or Act III etc.

To a general public and Bey's grown base (who are juggling work, bills, and life), a staggered rollout of "that" much Beyonce (in one go) runs the risk of cannibalizing interest and spreading out what could be fixed buzz for one thing across many touchpoints (RWT film, tour tickets, etc) in a way that may actually take away from one or all of it.

Bey doesn't have that rabid Taylor-like base who lap up any and everything in a cult-like fashion, so it will always profit her (literally) to prioritize/premiumize the main thing she's pushing most.

And with us stanning a capitalist queen, that logically suggests tour dates ought to be the focus.

The visuals feel like an ace up her sleeve for a later date (most likely to push Act III and close out this multi-year, multi-project arc).

The RWT film feels like a treat she will either throw out randomly as a lil something something or forever lock in the vault.

The RWT hold up is annoying, but I actually think there's a method to her madness with that. Like I said, Bey doesn't have that rabid, "feed me air and I'll be full" fanbase of Taylor etc, so her way to continue to assert her royalty is to keep up the stunts and shows and "eventize" everything she does.

RWT did "ok" but wasn't just this huge box office smash. That said, she for sure turned a profit, so my thinking is that she will once again go the theater route at some point for something. So, if it's embedded in the Hive's mind that "this may be the *ONLY* way to ever see this movie ever", they are more inclined to flood the theaters to see it rather than wait for it to come to streaming as I'm sure was the case when the RWT film dropped. Even if she does eventually put it on streaming, the same logic/message holds: "you better get it while you can".

It's annoying but smart.

It really is, I rarely ever play it just twice, at least 3/4 times before moving on.

I will never get the Yvette drags.

Bey has a whole team, including a manager. A team Bey herself heads up. She gives the directives, she gives the strategy, and when not, she yes/no's everything. So, I find it near impossible to lay the blame at anyone else's feet other than...hers.

I think it's also vital to point out, Yvette is a publicist. Bey may "manage" herself, but she has hired and has in place several people (for the lack of better word) "above" Yvette who handle her ish (from day to day to rollouts to everything).

And plus, with over 3 decades of working with Bey, I'm prety sure Yvette and co are very well versed in navigating tough times. With the smart thing to do most times is to be stone-cold silent and let it naturally subside (e.g. the Diddy/TikTok nonsense). Any active engagement /denial just would have fan the flames more.

Ignoring the TikTok mess was ultimately the best decision, it fizzled out (of course it would, she isn't even slightly involved).  The only thing her addressing it would have done is bring more attention to it, and then it would've be publicized everywhere, including actual news stations.  Now it stays some weird ass conspiracy theory, and those who were that crazy wouldn't believe a statement by Beyonce, anyway.

The way people saying her and Jay would be 'exposed' or whatever by the end of the year and now she's gonna end the year by giving a breathtaking performance that will have everyone falling at her feet. I know they're mad. :jonny5:

yeah the most we'll get is a limited four disc vinyl like Homecoming. But she's locking the video on her vault :cries2:

How big is this staging going to be? Is it SB level or what do we think? Basic?

Posted

A choir singing the „I crossed those valleys, highs and lows and everything between" part as an introduction and then Bey enters the stage:jonny:

Either way I'm expecting some otherworldly great production, callbacks to her own discography and maybe some type of new technology she currently obsessed with (like the holograms during Lemonade).
