alien superstore Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 (edited) I really hope 16 Carriages becomes Grammy Nominated. An absolutely monumental single. Do we know how genre nominations work in the Grammys? Is it only the country voters who can nominate for Country awards? Because if the CMAs are anything to go by we might have a situation where CC has representation in the Big 3 and Pop categories but gets snubbed in the country ones Edited November 7, 2024 by alien superstore 4

They limit the total number of genres one voter can vote in to 3. From the rule book: Quote they may vote in up to ten categories across up to three genre Fields plus the six categories of the General Field 1

Bey's music has already been vetted and mainly assigned the categories we know she's submitted them to. This is where her music appeared on the Grammy round 1 ballot: Album of the year — Cowboy Carter Record of the year — "Texas Hold 'Em" Song of the year — "Texas Hold 'Em" Best pop solo performance — "Bodyguard" Best pop duo/group performance — "Levii's Jeans" featuring Post Malone Best R&B song* — "Tyrant" featuring Dolly Parton Best melodic rap performance — "Spaghettii" featuring Linda Martell and Shaboozey Best country solo performance — "16 Carriages" Best country duo/group performance — "II Most Wanted" featuring Miley Cyrus Best country song — "Texas Hold 'Em" Best country album — Cowboy Carter Best Americana performance — "Ya Ya"

kimberly Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 (edited) My predictions: Almost 100% getting nominated AOTY - Cowboy Carter ROTY - Texas Hold Em Country Album - Cowboy Carter 90% chance Country Duo/Group - II Most Wanted Best Americana performance - Ya Ya 80% chance SOTY - Texas Hold Em Country Song - Texas Hold Em R&B Song - Tyrant 50% chance Pop Solo - Bodyguard Country Solo - 16 Carriages 30% chance Pop Duo/Group - Levii's Jeans (This is risky because they can't nominate Post Malone twice, both "Fortnight" and "Levi's Jeans," per Grammy rules.) 10% chance - Almost no shot Melodic Rap - Spaghettii Edited November 8, 2024 by kimberly 2 1

They didn't do predictions on Country nor Americana.
