Cowboy carter is only getting dragged in this base because it isn't gay enough nor is the album doing as well as Y'all wanted it to. CC is a great album. Renaissance is the easier listen but let's not act like CC is a trash album

For instance, ST (for me and many Hive) has been the best Bey album so far (but take any other project too) and none of them are truly built around "one" mood that makes for easy one go listening. Albums cover lots of grounds and aspects of the artist and they differ in their pace and mood. 

 

Renaissance is the exception and was conceived as a classic house set that the DJ can hit play on and its easy to listen to the album in one go. 

 

CC is not that. And for some reason, a lot of people seem to judge the album for their inability to listen to it together. Well... Duh. No one's gonna always be in the mood for protector and tyrant in one go. It's absolutely normal and doesn't reflect on the completeness or quality of the project. 

 

Just my feelings tho. I could've articulated this better but I'm travelling and on mobile 

Exactly that! Just skip over the tracks you don't feel that day. I don't get why you'd moan Beyonce has given us more music…
