Idc how anyone feels for the rest, but that last third of the album is totally worthy regardless of any and all discourse. Yup. I either start the album at AR or Flamenco depending on my mood. 4

When I am in a mood for guilty pleasures I add Levii's. Very strong individual songs but it's just not the album's quality and cohesiveness she brought with her last three albums mostly how tight Renaissance is. That's one of the reasons I don't like long albums. I hope Act III is an airtight album. 1
Draper. Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 The tiktok Beginning in the early 1970s, the horns were known as the "P-Funk sign" to fans of Parliament-Funkadelic. It was used by George Clinton and Bootsy Collins as the password to the Mothership,[16] a central element in Parliament's science-fiction mythology, and fans used it in return to show their enthusiasm for the band. Collins is depicted showing the P-Funk sign on the cover of his 1977 album Ahh... The Name Is Bootsy, Baby!. 4

We'll get a prince sample/interpolation, and she'll probably introduce some lesser known artists like she does. Would love Brittany Howard & Gary Clark Jr. In terms of legends maybe Stevie? I know he played harmonica on CC but I'd love some vocals. a lot of black rock legends are no longer with us so I'm imagining a lot of voice over moments and samples like oh Louisiana. Tom Morello, too 1

Kiss It Better Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 need H.E.R. to be on act III so bad especially if it's really rock, even if it's just a guitar solo or writing credit... i mean even Sabrina Claudio of all people could be on Renaissance
TizTiz Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 It's very. . .interesting that we haven't seen ppl give their visual thesis for act II. I remember ppls minds were running wild and her hints were nearly on the nose. I always thought the story telling on Cornball Carter as better paced for an actual movie, while RENI lyrics lends more to a different world, if any of that makes sense 😂! Songs like "DAUGHTER", "JUST FOR FUN" and "II MOST WANTED" are very reminiscent of an old, black and white western love story. Something you'd imagine very clean and traditional. "I'M THAT GIRL", "COZY" and, definitely, "ALIEN SUPERSTAR" are very imaginative in its sound, alone, so it gives you the freedom to imagine more than what's she's ever done. I hope she doesn't dumb down the possibility of both albums in a visual fashion book or constant choreography. There's a plethora of stories to tell, to expand her legacy she's carved out over the last 10 years. 1
king_queen Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 I'm so glad Beyoncé is the artist and not us bc some of these takes in here… 2 6 3
Doogle Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 imagine we get all the visuals finally (lol) what act 1 or 2 song is finally going mega viral with the visuals and overshadowing act 3 and why is it Alien Superstar she's so sick in the head I'm still bitter years on
ToraeGilt Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Cowboy Carter never stood a chance.. The enthusiasm shared here for a potential rock/funk album was never given to CC. Now y'all are slandering the songs/album 3
Crayzik Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 (edited) Bodyguard is the 3rd most streamed song of CC with good reason Edited November 3, 2024 by Crayzik 3
Calypso Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Some of the CC takes in here. Seek Jesus (or a good pair of headphones, some weed and hit play from the top y'all uglies!) 7 1

It truly is cute filler outside of that. That's how i feel about most of the middle alberm section (Jolene to Leviis). I like all the tracks but i can live without em (except Spaguettii that is a MUST) and for some reason they gimme a IASF kind of vibe... those "quieter"/acoustic tracks like That's Why You're Beautiful and Satellites. If someone said these were revamped leftovers from that era i would believe it.
holyground13 Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 I wasn't a huge fan of Just For Fun, II Most Wanted or Levii's Jeans for a few months but I've been obsessed with them recently. I think all of the songs on the album are at least good, but it's such a long album that sometimes I have to be in the mood for certain tracks and maybe other people feel that way too. Also as someone who usually tends to prefer uptempo music more than slow tempo, I often skip to the uptempos. Also anyone have any theories on why the album was originally released physically as Beyincé with the beaded hair cover? I think that cover is gorgeous as is although Bey is quite small in the frame, but what I wonder about is if they weren't planning to go with a cover with a horse until the last minute (even if Renaissance had a cover with a horse and that was released two years ago)? Maybe she wasn't planning on having a horse on each act's cover, until she changed her mind last minute around February this year, but that seems strange too as it makes more sense to have a horse featured on the Cowboy Carter cover as opposed to Renaissance given the country theme.

Calypso Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Hmmm. I have a feeling a lot of y'all (us) are judging CC through a distorted lens due to Renaissance. For instance, ST (for me and many Hive) has been the best Bey album so far (but take any other project too) and none of them are truly built around "one" mood that makes for easy one go listening. Albums cover lots of grounds and aspects of the artist and they differ in their pace and mood. Renaissance is the exception and was conceived as a classic house set that the DJ can hit play on and its easy to listen to the album in one go. CC is not that. And for some reason, a lot of people seem to judge the album for their inability to listen to it together. Well... Duh. No one's gonna always be in the mood for protector and tyrant in one go. It's absolutely normal and doesn't reflect on the completeness or quality of the project. Just my feelings tho. I could've articulated this better but I'm travelling and on mobile 7 1
ShouldersSideways Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 I know it won't happen, but if she released act iii around the grammys and did a medley of all three acts, she'd burn the house down. Seeing her range on display like that would prove beyond a shadow of a doubt she's the greatest 6
Mitsouko Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 The way even Neck said damn the CC era is dead she better do something quick Now follow it up challenge! 4
