i'm sorry but i can hardly imagine something i would want less from her than anything DC related (other than maybe a cute one off performance)

no shade but she's just too above the girls it's kinda laughable :deadbanana2:

I want her to get into the Rock & Roll HOF TWICE. (Like her idols Tina and MJ) Simple as that. Using their 1997 major-label start date would mean the group is eligible next year, and I want all 5 main members to be inducted. Each of the main two iterations won Grammys, had #1 songs, and has an album north of 5x Platinum.

If their performance as a quintet happens on that stage, so be it. It doesn't have to be a SuperBowl.

(I also want DC5 to be an inaugural group to reopen the Vocal Group Hall of Fame... but that one will take some work as the governing body closed in 2008. Does Mathew Knowles want a new position?  )

SWV, En Vogue, The Carpenters, Chicago, LaBelle, The Clark Sisters, Boyz II Men, New Edition, DC5, After 7, Take 6, The Winans Family, The Drinkard Singers, The Gospelaires (Whitney's mom / Dionne Warwick's old group), The Backstreet Boys / NSYNC, and the Sugababes should be the first inducted groups of the new set.

If DC gets in R&R Hall of Fame it will be Bey, Kelly & Michelle, who the world know and love

This is the problem with DC fans, y'all think she above everything, performances, tv shows, awards,  etc. :deadbanana2: I would take a DC tour over OTR3 or anything Jay related.

* DC fans or Bey-only fans?

One of the "problems" with Bey being so cross-generational is that people jumped aboard her stan train at such varying times that there is now a wide range of hot takes about what's her best record and the wants for the future. It's a great "problem" to have, but I digress.

A DC something is one of her biggest non-solo cards to play ever and always. The public would eat it up way more than anything further with Jay. It literally always generates huge buzz. E.g. it's absolutely what everyone wanted after Homecoming rather than OTRII.

And strategically, in general, Bey ought to do things to let the "Beyonce" brand breathe between albums. DC, especially as a tour, ticks that box.

Definitely should've been a DC3 tour by now. A DC album, with a definite sound showing the artistic growth or each woman, yet still meshing together, would be undoubtedly better.

uhm i of all people certainly do NOT think that

and i would gladly take neither of those two horrible ideas over anything solo beyoncé. her eras are boring and uneventful enough now without tagging along her geriatric husband and jobless friends :clack:

As someone who feels that Destiny's Fulfilled is perfect as an album, era, and concept, I don't know if I want new music to potentially mess up what was a perfect swansong.

I, for instance, did not like Nuclear, was ok with You Changed, and loved Say Yes (in context), so I'm torn over new music.

A tour, though, would be perfect. Like The Spice Girls, they literally do not need new music for a limited engagement stadium run. "Destiny's Child. Worldwide. 10 Nights Only". An obvious yet fitting title like DC Forever would encapsulate the concept perfectly.

A limited run also gives the "Beyonce"  brand a breather and actually helps heighten demand for her solo "return".

I would love to see them do it sooner rather than later, because as much as they slay, you can't cheat Mother Nature. And with the expectations of what a DC tour would need to give (choreo, looks, and even some of the material), it would be better suited to now in their early to mid-40s than when they are 60 lol.

That's not gonna happen. She and her team still care about first week numbers and rightly so, every single solo album over 300k across 20 years is simply outstanding. And there is no way she is getting there with digital sales and streams alone.

A lot of ppl were in this base underestimating what CC was going to pull too but if Beyoncé waits until next year to release new music and surprise drops people are going to JUMP at it, especially since we've all deluded ourselves into thinking that dropping act iii will get us one step closer to the visuals :sistrens:

DC tour never happening, Beyoncé's audience is too global for that

CC's 300M streams equaled 232k streaming units. The only ways she could top that number are either an album with 30+ full tracks, one global smash or 2-3 minor streaming hits, because even if act III's gonna come with the visuals, I think we can all agree the videos won't debut on YouTube, so they don't count towards that streaming total.

I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think she'd be fine. We have to keep in mind our fave dont gaf about all that you just typed. She will more than likely achieve whatever goal she set out to achieve with act iii and then move on from it, Spotify streams be damned :sistrens:
