i honestly think this is just referring to the tom cruise bit that has him accepting the olympic flag and then skydiving from a helicopter to the hollywood sign. he shot it last week.

the executive director of the games was talking about the LA segment as a whole being produced by LA itself in close collaboration with paris, not just the tom cruise thing.

anyways since obviously nobody cares i'm not sending **** anymore, y'all can go do more rankings or sumn :ryan3:

She got what she wanted and finally broke the base. A shell of what it once was.

I've been obsessed with her most of my life and I'm so unmoved by her these days. I actually rolled my eyes when I got that obnoxious ALL CAPS email desperately trying to offload excess merch under the guise it's selling fast.

yes the "LA segment" IS the tom cruise thing...that is what im saying. its in collaboration because they pass the flag from the host city to the next host city. and this one will be a big hollywood action movie style production. that's all. y'all shouldn't expect anything else other than that

from the director per Variety:

Quote

"As per the tradition, Los Angeles has prepared a sort of teaser that lasts 10 to 15 minutes, and it's dedicated to them, to show what their Olympic games will look like — and they've had all the freedom to create their segment."

I care! lol.

This can be likened to the whole Veeps/SB thing. We were all so disillusioned that all the tea and teasing was right in front of us and it wasn't until ish dropped that we moved.

The upside is that the level of unexpected/"yeah, right" will make the gag that much more impactful if she really does push through.

For me, the gag will be perfect and all her shenanigans forgiven if she really gives us a whole Super Bowl scale performance....and announces the tour after. Like, don't waste the hype.

I really liked the prerecorded live performance format she embraced for the Oscars. It was "live" enough but edited enough to dually tick-box both the "performance" and "perfection" elements of her brand.

The world will be watching and will lap it up. Also, based on the articles, the typical segment is like 10 mins or so and they are saying it's been expanded and is set to be a whole thing. Tom Cruise ain't running up and down for 15/20 mins on anybody's screen. So, a sizeable Bey something feels...at the very least...plausible.

Lastly, she's been very vocal about only wanting to do things she hasn't done before. And we know that also means things of scale. This fits the bill.

I guess we'll see, but I don't think there's anything too clownish about sitting up and bracing for...something.

tom cruise isn't jumping down the roof of the Stade De France for 15 minutes straight, there'll obviously be more than that :rip: the next host city segment is traditionally part of the closing ceremony as in it'll happen live in the stadium. it won't be a simple phoned in hollywood teaser. there's been like 30 different articles from the french press teasing bey's involvement independently from tom cruise's stunts.

you always get it :clap3:

and let's not forget yvette intervened for less than this. the bey rumors are very loud over here (to the point that even my parents called to tell me the french tv said she'll perform :rip:) so i'd say logically if all of it wasn't somewhat true she would've denied it by now like she did before.

sure hag broke our spirits so i get people not getting excited about anything these days but people clowned for MUCH less than this, i really don't think it's too crazy to think she'll be involved (even if it's just something as random as sending in a prerecorded video of her holding the olympic flame). like y'all moved more over random deuxmoi blind items than credible week long rumors…

and hey if nothing happens y'all still have a levi's commercial to look forward to :ryan3:

She's also mentioned only doing things she wants to do, making music and touring.

Personally, I'm 95% confident she's performing. It makes too much sense (had to lower my confidence percentage after this sentence) for her not too. High profile enough for her to not have done anything since release.

Spoiler

A tour announcement, single push (with radio) would work but feels delusional
