Beyonce is a billionaire mom of three who worked her ass off her whole life, don't tell me you are expecting her to have the same work routine as newcomer Dua Lipa or that Gen Z Britney (I honestly forgot her name).

If I were in her position and you asked me why I disappeared, I'd ask you to disappear too! :rogue:

No one is asking her to go all out. Per example, all Ariana did to promote her album was perform on SNL and drop music videos. That did wonders for her album. Bey doesn't even have to do a live performance, she can pre-record a backyard sessions or tinydesk. But most importantly, release the videos

we went through this a million times and i can't believe some of you are still this slow :rip:

idgaf how she promotes this i just want CONTENT. performances, videos, ANYTHING. not posters, sloppy half finished vinyl scams and never ending easter egg hunts. and the GP obviously wants more as well since they already moved on and aren't streaming this anymore. how many times does this have to be said for it to enter some of those thick, hollow skulls ? :deadbanana4:

How many years before it clicks that they ain't coming, was the Renaissance era not enough to show you that? You all say she is too big/good to perform on all these shows when someone suggests one, then cry she doesn't do any

No but really what's up with that?

Does she really think people are checking for those updates or

I still think it must lead to something more eventually cause it just seems so random and pointless if not

Of course it's leading to sth, she's a Virgo and it is all planned

however not all the virgos plans are good and well executed

She's not releasing the visuals before act iii so asking for that is pointless

i never said that once so idk what that got to do with me :suburban:

and performances ≠ award shows

she can perform in her backyard for all i care. releasing videos that have been filmed years ago shouldn't be a problem either lol.

as long as miss queen isn't above doing tacky stuff like dj khaled collabs and performing at dubious private events she's certainly not above performing at the vma's either, someone should make that very clear to her.

I just remembered when some of your pessimistic asses tried to convince us that there would be no act ii, that Beyoncé announced the three-act project before creating the albums, that she ditched the plans and would drop her next album in 2027.

I'm struggling with my replay-ability with Cowboy Carter and I think three things are at play here (at least for me! - I don't want to be jumped).

1. It's following Renaissance, which conceptually alone was a much tighter album meant to be played in one go - with a consistent upbeat flow. It's also sonically more intriguing and easier to listen to. Cowboy Carter in comparison is more like a standard album with different moods and flows and its unreasonable for a person to be in all those moods at once (I can jam to Tyrant and Riverdance casually back from work, but I'm not shifting from American Requiem to protector and then bucking and tyrant each time).

Point is it feels worse cuz it's following Renaissance, I remember even with ST and Lemonade and Gift, I was hooked to only a few songs at a time and had phases with different songs.

2. Incomplete experience. CC is more like a traditional album, touching different sides and aspects of her life and journey with exploring country. But, part of a music's experience is also the videos and the live performances. Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the best songs ever (imo) and bey has her own with American Requiem. But Bohemian Rhapsody did not and would not have become what it did without its incredible and iconic performances on the greatest stages. It feels ESPECIALLY so because you can feel how many CC songs are made for and BEGGING for great live performances.

This is still to be declared cuz we don't know what's in store. But for now it means the experience feels incomplete. Same with visuals because some of these songs are SO cinematic.

3. Flow and length. I will not go too deep into this but this album could've been more concise and had better structure and flow - including better use of those interludes. I was exposed to the idea that Riverdance should've come after smoke hour 2 and now I'm lowkey mad xD

Anyway!!! CC is an incredible album and project. It's not easy to digest and doesn't have too many traditional bops for easy listening but it has some of her best music ever. Her voice and production are on another level and I also believe this album has her best lyrics so far. This album feels like an evolution of Beyoncé for me. It has the best elements of all her last projects since ST.

It is incredible and I know this might be a slower one than Renaissance but I'm gonna be appreciating this for long!

Let's pray bey gives us more for this 'era'

I love tracking the charts, as it's fun, but some of you care way too much about the streams. :rip: Just enjoy the damn album. Who cares if it's doing 3 streams or 3 billion? That's Beyoncé's problem, not yours. CC is an incredible album and it's a shame some of you let it be tainted because it isn't being streamed as much as you hoped.

They 100% are. II MOST WANTED is literally only doing 100K more than AS despite a) it being playlisted while AS wasn't b) Spotify streams increasing tenfold since. CUFF IT was doing more than Bodyguard, etc. There is absolutely no way to spin the numbers as being anything other than bad. Just stick to the "enjoy the music" narrative...

2. IASF

3. 4

4. Cowboy Carter

5. Renaissance

6. B'Day

So I do agree that Renaissance was pure joy dressed as an album and, in that way, it was self-sustaining.

But there's a lot more story-telling and nuance on Cowboy Carter that I feel like needs to be teased out, highlighted, and promoted — whether that's thru a live performance or music videos.

Also, when you make songs with unconventional sound/structures, you kind of have to sell it. And we saw this with Run The World. Similar thing was needed for Alien Superstar… and we saw how much life was birthed into Cozy once Renny Tour kicked off. So I do feel like she's leaving a lot on the table in terms of audience impressions. That said, she's the biggest popstar in the world, so she probably doesn't care.
