Hmm... we need more old photos being posted on beencountry, and maybe bring back KNTY news if there's enough left in the budget

the way we got stale cutouts of random instruments, her mother, the DC girls and what looks like a deserted cruising spot instead of a cliquebait video or another teaser… throw the whole era away:deadbanana2:

I get II Hands II Heaven. What I don't get is Tyrant. It's hell to listen to. So corny.

That's how I feel about Flop-ghetti. I'd rather have Donk 🙄

II hands II god is easily one of her best songs and the first half is this album's blow. deal with it.

Its funny how all she had to do was to sit down in her huge ass garden, have a guitarist accompany her and serve a live Set hosted by Apple where she performed like 4 songs, and this era would look entirely different already.

No crazy setup, just a simple backyard setup with her being in casual jeans and a hat - literally not even having to leave her house

Moreso than visuals, I'm most sad the days of her performances are over. You can either pay for a ticket or know a billionaire.

I truly don't think she'll ever give a free performance again unless maybe, maybe it's for a charity.

what an ungrateful thing to ask from a struggling mother of 3 ?

It's sad to see that most of what I love about Beyoncé, she doesnt do lately.

Live performances and music videos are her bread and butter, and without them it just makes the whole era hollow

I also hope we get some behind the scenes looks at her making the three acts, not gonna lie that clip of her recording heated on the couch looks like it was staged and filmed during the tour

Its kind of ironic how she, as BEYONCE, receives so so many things for free (from designer clothes to brand deal to probably all kinds of things), yet shed rather die than do something FOR free

II Hands II Heaven is more comparable to Love Drought (sonically) than Virgos Groove. That comparison makes 0 sense.

what we will not do is disrespect virgo's groove in this b*tch. virgo's groove clears ii hands ii hell swiftly and easily.

it IS annoying that she's ghosting again and we don't have any live performances.

but did we really expect things to go differently this time?

Its no surprise, yet just as disappointing as the last 4 times she pulled these shenanigans

I don't think the album is bad or too long in the way of not being listenable. I think there's too many preludes and too many duds for the album to feel complete. I wouldn't mind if the would took a transition into rock & roll after "YA YA" instead of trying to transition into RENI. I had to move the album to a playlist and rearrange the tracks but it still feels off. There's so many styles and my favorites don't fit.

American Requiem

The Linda Martell Show

Ya Ya

Oh Louisiana

Dessert Eagle

TXH

Dolly P

Jolene

Bodyguard

II Most Wanted

Leviis Jean

Riiverdance

II Hands

Tyrant

16 Carriages

Aliigator Tears

Amen

This just works for me somewhat, I'll miss Blackbird and Flamenco. There isn't a heavy hitter combo like ITG/C/AS+CI/E/BMS and I think that's why the end of the album flows better that then the album as a whole.

You can tell she made this album after The Gift considering she's still on her "interlude for lols" mindset. Literally only one of them was necessary: the interlude to Ya Ya.

i've accepted that she will abandon a project once it's out. such a beyonce thing to do

Plus the transitional intros/outros are BOTCHED. Why are they cut while sound is playing? Instead of finding a point where each song still feels complete even on their own. Like the Renaissance transitions.

For example, why does Oh Louisiana end in the middle of the eagle call? Couldn't they have cut it before or after? Desert Eagle starts where that eagle cut off ends, so it's f**king weird.

Since the girls are in the mood again, I'm sharing my setlist. It's not a dream one or one I would like to see the most, but it's the one I can see being a bit realistic.

Some things to have in mind:

  • I went with a RENAISSANCE-type of a setlist where every song is included, since it seems she likes to perform every song from the album at least once, but she won't be doing any other performances besides the tour.
  • I haven't worked that much on this, so there are parts that I haven't paid much attention to. Overall, it's just a thing I did for fun and I'm not thinking about details.
  • I imagined her having a choir for a couple of songs. I think it fits nicely and it would be something she never had on one of her tours.
  • The setlist is really long. It uses 44 songs (not including the ones that would be used in the background or during the interludes), so there should be parts that I would need to cut. I'm not the biggest fan of the SPAGHETTII section, so it could be cut like the big three. :-* However, it should be noted that I don't imagine most of the songs being performed in full and many of them are already shorter than 2 minutes, so the runtime could be similar to the RWT one.
  • The songs I used for the interludes are not random, but I don't have a clear idea why I've put much of them there. Most of them fit there in my mind.
  • Don't come for me cause of Ring Off. The outro would not only fit there, but it sounds really good (unlike the rest of the song), so that's why it's there with Love On Top as a transition to BODYGUARD.
  • There are probably more things, but I forgot.

The interludes were for the co-signs. I think they were necessary.
